Last night as I was driving home from the missed opportunity of confessing my sins at church the radio was tuned to the Larry Elder Show. He's, if you don't know, a Black conservative based out of California.
Mr. Elder brought up the subject of voting and a poll run by Gallup. Well, I'm not a huge fan of polls because they can be skewered in many directions but Gallup is considered one of the best. Take this for what it's worth.
The pollsters, in 2007, asked people what would keep them from voting for a person.
1) 5% of the people would never vote Black
2) 11% of the voters would never vote for a woman
3) 22% of the people would never vote Mormon
4) 42% would never vote John McCain because at age 72(at that time) his age should keep him out of the White House
