The darling of the pro-Trump people, South Dakota governor Kristi Noem isn't as staunch as she pretended. The Republican legislature presented her with a law to outlaw boys from competing against and showering with girls. She punted on it; refusing to sign. Heck, I've read reports she is a favorite to run for president. Not anymore.
Why would Kristi have this about face? As usual it all boils down to money and power. The NCAA, Amazon and other corporations threatened to pull their business out the state if she didn't comply with their dictums. Amazon said it would move its headquarters from Sioux Falls to another city in another state.
It's beyond my comprehension why the NCAA is involved. They promised to move any events out of South Dakota under their auspices. Somebody inform me. I hate being perplexed on the subject of what is and what isn't a penis or vagina.
