Monday Morning Tidbits

I need new meds. Or, maybe I need meds that work. Bedtime last night was at 8 pm. I was exhausted. Then the god of hate came running into my body. At midnight, restless, I came downstairs and grabbed a glass of milk. An hour later no dice-------I was still thrashing about. Charlie, next to me, was sleeping as though he'd run the marathon. At 4:30, and still not catching any worthwhile shut eye I gave it one more try; a couple pieces of roast beef and another glass of milk. Twenty minutes later success.

During this wretched period of time I had the following bits of wisdom to impart.

Governor Pritzker of Chicago is sending 500 more National Guardsment to D.C. to quell the rioting that isn't. Wouldn't he better off to send them to Chicago for week-end duty? There were only 20 shot in Beetlejuices' city over the week-end.--------again.

Today is the first day of Black History Month. Why not take in an NBA basketball game.

Last week, Dr. Anthony claimed on NBC’s “Today” that wearing two masks “just makes common sense. Yesterday he stated wearing two masks doesn't do anything of benefit.

Ever hear of the Hawalili company? They sell shirts. You can buy one and get one free. How many would you like? It's only $21.99.

Maxine Waters makes a salary of $176,000 a year. How can she afford to pay her daughter $250,000 yearly to be on her staff. Isn't motherly love wonderful?

Andy Cuomo, New York's pompous governor stated in response to the underestimation of the number of elderly who died in nursing homes under his watch due to COVID, "Who cares where nursing home residents died. They died". Isn't that kinda like Hillary saying about the four Benghazi murders, "At this point what difference does it make?"

Jimmy Dean is the luckiest guy in the world. He's been dead for ten years but he's still doing commercials for sausage. When is enough money enough?

It is now 'almost' certain the first case of AIDS came from 1917. A soldier in WWI on the front in Cameroon was starving in the field. He killed and ate an infected monkey. Thought you'd like to know.

Dublin Ohio received 5" of snow this week-end. I took a picture of the snow on top of our outdoor dining table. Try and tell me it wasn't wet and heavy and I'll tell you why I didn't pick up a shovel. I thought the way it was sliding off the table but held together was Ripley's Believe It Or Not material.

Layshia Clarenden is a basketball player in the WNBA for the New York Liberty. She had her breasts removed. I'd heard of this happening before; breast removal. What's her name, Christina Applegate, who played on the TV show, Married With Children had a double mastectomy. Her reasoning was almost every female in the family had breast cancer and most died from it.

Not Clarendon, though. Of course, she's binary whatever. She stated the lack of breasts would allow her freedom. Silly me. When I first read the story I figured she wanted to be able to jump higher.
