In 1975 fashion trends for men went more girlie than one thought possible. I was coaching in Davenport, Iowa and first noticed the trend when the girl's basketball coach came to school in a bright yellow leisure suit. He immediate brought the derision onto himself. Chants of 'Tweety bird' echoed throughout the hallway.
I was never one of these guys, the go with the flow ones. I always maintained the button down collar look wearing a three piece suit. Thank goodness.
Regardless, I came across this photo of the times. Does it bring back memories of the money you wasted? I hope not. The one item you can't see in the picture are the 'must' platform shoes that went with the outfit.
