The Next Time I'll Just Hang Myself
Your special writer here recognizes his faults. There are so many items in life I cannot perform and at my age I really don't care. It's good Her Majesty is alive because without her brain I'd be in Zoo Land and in a straight jacket.
A few years ago we had Spectrum TV then got rid of it because they started to get cocky by raising their prices. I didn't know much about Direct TV but when a representative came to the house and spewed his carnival speech I was all in. Besides, the price for television and internet was $94 a month and considering I only buy cheap instead of quality a deal was struck.
Oh sure, there were items with Direct I didn't care about. The Gay Channel didn't thrill me as didn't the Scientology Network. Then there were a slew of those HGTV channels. They even had one dedicated to having a better sex life. What a waste. I'd like to have a sex life period but those decades are long gone. In addition we, The Queen, and I had two smartphones. This is a sore subject in our marriage. Two years ago the wife wanted to buy me one for my birthday but I gave her an emphatic NO! I was more than content with my flip phone and then on that January day in opening my gift there it was---the one thing I didn't want was now mine. Well, even though we had been married for 50 years a guy cannot tell the lady to shove it where the sun don't shine. I acquiesced and from that day forward have used it reluctantly.
So, Spectrum offered us the same original price as Direct but two phones cost together $28 a month, unlimited calls and texts so we pulled the plug on Direct and here we are. But not quite. Trying to get rid of a network is pure hell. In talking to the guy who would end the contract he wouldn't let me off the hook. Then, after a half hour I had to lay down the law. I told him about my terminal disease and that was the final nail in the coffin. Then I had to go to AT&T to end my cell phone service. This was another piece of garbage. The long story short of it is a couple years ago I thought I'd lost a phone and went down to buy a new one. Silly me. The dude who sold it to me signed me up for another program. Well, I'm a technological moron so I thought I was only buying a $70 phone but what jag boy did was sign me up for another phone line without telling me. As it is it cost me $525 to get out of my contract. I wonder how much that guy will have to pay when I take a blade to his four tires?
I was half way home. Spectrum came to install our new system and I got new phones(free).
My brain is exhausted. I detest modern technology. If I can't figure it out in 14 seconds I'll throw an object against the wall hoping The Queen will handle it.
Then I got to thinking. If I bought a log cabin on four acres of land in Arkansas I might die happy. No electricity, no phone or computers, no modern conveniences; only a box of matches, canned food, a coffee pot and a pan along with Charlie. That's it. The simplicity of life is the most pleasant.
Where's John Nance Garner When You Really Need Him
Franklin Roosevelt had three vice-presidents. The first was John Nance Garner. He is remembered for one quote only: "The vice-presidency isn't worth a pitcher of warm spit." One can't argue with that, can they?
There's a Veep in our midst who left us with another notable Memorial Day quote. She said, "Enjoy the long week-end," alongside a picture of herself. How cute.
Kurt Schleichter is a powerful conservative writer and ex-Marine. He responded with a picture and a quote regarding that vice-presidents not so patriotic words. His response to the long week-end statement: "They would if they could."

They're Heeeere!
It's finally happening in Dublin, Ohio. The Brood X Cicada infestation has arrived and frankly I'm quite disappointed. It's still early in the game but weren't the noise decibels supposed to be so high it would drive people running and screaming in the streets. So far no noise but they are in evidence.
Conundrums
Conundrum
"A gun is like a parachute If you need one, and don't have one, you'll probably never need one again."
The definition of the word Conundrum is: something that is puzzling or confusing.
Here are six Conundrums of socialism in the United States of America :
1. America is capitalist and greedy - yet half of the population is subsidized.
2.Half of the population is subsidized - yet they think they are victims.
3.They think they are victims - yet their representatives run the government.
4.Their representatives run the government - yet the poor keep getting poorer.
5.The poor keep getting poorer - yet they have things that people in other countries only dream about.
6.They have things that people in other countries only dream about - yet they want America to be more like those other countries.
DO You Remember Nov. 7, 1983
Sen. Chuck Schumer made one of those speeches this week that makes a person cringe. Others have spoken about the January 6 invasion of the Capitol but he continued their lies as to this being the worst thing to happen to that building in history. AOC compared her experience to being in combat.
Well, there was another incident that took place but it's conveniently forgotten by the Democrats.
And who was it who incited the riot? Read on: On Jan. 6 Capitol Police started firing flash grenades and rubber bullets at peaceful protesters with US and MAGA flags. From the video you can see the protesters are NOT on the Capitol steps and were behind barriers.
There were children and seniors in the crowd. https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2021/05/shock-video-capitol-police-started-shooting-peaceful-trump-supporters-behind-gates-jan-6-fired-flash-grenades-rubber-bullets-peaceful-protesters-including-children/

Question Of The Day
If there's a weather forecast saying there's a 98.8% chance of no rain should I break out my galoshes, rain cap and coat along with my umbrella when I go outside?

There's A Joke In This Quote
Joey B. was in Cleveland today to tout his $6 trillion dollar spending bill and off the cuff he came off with this gem:
"In 15 years every single hospital bed in America will be occupied by an Alzheimer's patient."
Folks, I can't make this stuff up.
It's Sort Of Funny
While at a ribbon-cutting in northwest Atlanta on Wednesday morning, four people hopped into councilman Antonio Brown's car and took off
Police said around 11:45am Brown got out of his car and the thieves tried to take it
Brown held on and was dragged for a block before he let go
Brown says the thieves were children from 7 to 11 years old
Ace of Spades
Brown didn't want to press charges because------------the children in that area live in poverty.
Cancelled?
Is it still okay to play the game of pool? I mean, the white balls are knocking the colored balls around.
Sen. John Kennedy Is A Classic
Sen. John Kennedy (R-LA): "Can we agree that if you took [Chinese] President Xi Jinping and turned him upside and shook him, the World Health Organization would fall out of his pocket?"
Dr. Fauci: "I don't think I can answer that question, sir."Mega Kudos To Lebanon Ohio
The Lebanon, Ohio City Council voted Tuesday night to become a Sanctuary City for the Unborn, the 29th city in the nation and the first in Ohio to outlaw abortion.
The council unanimously approved an ordinance to make abortion illegal within the city’s limits following the resignation of council member Krista Wyatt who objected to it, https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2021/05/26/sanctuary-city-for-unborn-initiative-spreads-lebanon-ohio-29th-city-to-outlaw-abortion/
Maybe Being Transgender Isn't So Bad
Michiganders, especially those in the Upper Peninsula, are sick and tired of masks. In Luce County (pop. 6600) three people identified as death by COVID. Considering the nonsense Gov. Gretchen Whitmer has put the people through these citizens are doing something about it.
Being transgender has its privileges. The people in St. Luce have decided 'en masse' to say, "I identify as vaccinated:" regardless if they've been vaccinated or not.
It makes sense to me.
I Hate To Be The One To Tell You This(No I Don't)
New findings reported Tuesday in a University of Louisville study challenge what has been the prevailing belief that mask mandates are necessary to slow the spread of the Wuhan coronavirus. The study notes that "80% of US states mandated masks during the COVID-19 pandemic" and while "mandates induced greater mask compliance, [they] did not predict lower growth rates when community spread was low (minima) or high (maxima)." Among other things, the study—conducted using data from the CDC covering multiple seasons—reports that "mask mandates and use are not associated with lower SARS-CoV-2 spread among US states." https://townhall.com/tipsheet/spencerbrown/2021/05/26/new-study-refutes-fauci-efficacy-of-mask-mandates-n2589990

Which City Is Next
Are you fearful of driving in some cities in this country? In Chicago on I-57 as you enter the south side of the City 60 vehicles have been riddled with bullets THIS YEAR!
For the longest of times as a travelling salesman I did everything in my power to use I-75 going through Detroit. Who could ever forget the morning I picked up my brand spanking new Oldsmobile 88 in 1992 then headed to Sarnia, Canada via by motoring through Detroit. No, I didn't notice the rock thrown through my front windshield from an overpass nor did I see the perpetrator. All that was left was the rather smallish boulder. From that day forward the inner city of Motown never saw me again.
So, my buddy asked today to name the next Detroit. I answered there were too many candidates to mention. Some, Portland, Chicago, are already there. Minneapolis, a town I used to thoroughly enjoyed spending my money, has now been checked off my 'go to' list. As it is the old 'Cowtown' called Columbus, Ohio now gives me pause when I think about visiting, especially after the sun is on the downside of the day.
I suspect this is the reason, at my age, I'm looking to die in peace and why I'm checking out smaller towns to relocate in the Midwest.
Finally, A New Mascot For The Cleveland Indians
It seems forever since the Cleveland Indians succumbed to political correctness with its Chief Wahoo mascot. Personally, I'd consider it to be a badge of honor to have any team use my race as a logo. I'm of German extraction. It wouldn't bother me to be called The Krauts. I'm waiting for Notre Dame to get rid of its leprechaun.
"Just Askin'"
Word Of The Day: Pander
After hosting the family of George Floyd at the White House yesterday Joey Biden has announced he will travel to Tulsa, Oklahoma to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Tulsa, Oklahoma race riots.
Unfortunately, there will be no people there who were alive at the time to raise their fists in the air and shout, "Kill all Whites." As for violence; burning, looting, etc. that is on hold.
One White House official is quoted as saying, "We must do everything we can to keep the hate alive."
Little Known Facts
The FDA states if more than 50 people die as a result of a vaccine that vaccine must be pulled off the market(unless Dr. Fauci objects.)
The U.S. State Dept. has stopped any investigations into the origins of the Wuhan flu.
This is a relief:
Fifty percent of the eligible citizens of Switzerland own a fire are of one type or another. Switzerland has the lowest gun murder rate of any nation in the world.
Perpetuating African Slave Labor
One of Joe Biden’s initiatives is to get Americans into electric cars. In his first week in the White House, he announced that he wants every car that the federal government owns to be electric. Moreover, his $2 trillion “infrastructure” plan calls for giving taxpayer-funded rebates to electric car buyers and to increase the number of charging stations (although without also increasing the amount of available electricity). What Biden and other Green Deal proponents are ignoring is that the lithium that is an essential ingredient in electric car batteries comes from slave labor in Africa. https://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2021/05/the_african_slavery_behind_the_leftists_green_dreams.html

A Nobel Prize Winner Exposed Fauci As A Fraud
You or I could call Anthony Fauci a fraud and we'd be laughed out of the room. However, when a Nobel prize winner tried to do the same he was---------well, ignored. This Is A Dr. Mengele Story
Dr. Josef Mengele was a doctor in Nazi Germany noted for his disgusting experiments on human beings. It appears the Obama/Biden administration was up to the same nonsense.
Government scientists under the Obama-Biden administration specifically requested body parts from aborted baby boys for experiments involving “humanized mice,” according to a document obtained by the watchdog organization Judicial Watch. https://www.lifenews.com/2021/05/21/obama-biden-admin-wanted-aborted-baby-parts-from-boy-babies-to-create-humanized-mice/
Ramblings Of An Idle Mind
The so-called experts tell us it takes twenty-one days to break a habit; habits that might be smoking or stuffing one's face with ice cream or some such other negatives. On the other hand, I've discovered it takes those same amount of days to do the positive.
As you may know I'm the opposite of bears when it comes to falling asleep. I'll toss, turn, shake, rattle and roll and I'm awake until 3 am. At least that was the case up until six weeks ago. I've gotten in the habit of putting my head on the pillow and praying. Every night I pray to parents now deceased, in-laws, cousins, grandparents and dearly departed friends. Then, I'll think about all my children and grandchildren, picturing them in my mind and pray for their safety. It's become a 'good' habit and in short order I'll be sawing Z's.
This Sunday is a special day in the Catholic Church. It's the Feast of the Pentecost and is considered the day our faith became official.
I've begun attending a new church, St. Peter's in Columbus, Ohio. It was my choice even though The Queen still opts for our liberal one. One of my least favorite words is 'diversity' because it signifies a great divide in our society that isn't there. Please, please don't consider I'm in the least racist and I'll tell you why. St. Peter's is made up of Blacks, Hispanics and some, not many, white folks. Get this. The church even has a Sunday evening Mass said in Swahili. I enjoy the priest and his sermons so I'll continue to attend and that's a good thing.
Anyway, I was sitting in my pew this morning and scanned the congregants. I'd say 85% wore masks in some fashion or another. By that I mean half of the men of around 200 had theirs down under their noses. I never understood the significance of this.
Let's talk about flatulence for a moment. I researched the subject of humans and that normal expelling of gases and found out men, on average, pass gas into the atmosphere 12 times daily. Women, on the other hand only seven times which proves the old adage than men are more full of crap than females. Anyway, the majority of people in the country do not go Kommando. So, if humans wear underwear then pants over them and people can still smell the effects from 15 feet away after an emission what good are masks? Just sayin.
It's 90 degrees in Dublin today. I had Charlie out for his morning walk and a lady walked by and told me how hot it was. I didn't say anything but remembered last January and February.
Fat update: I'm now down 25 with 15 more to go to get to the magical 185 lb. mark. Even so, I've decided a person, like me, is still overweight when they tuck in their shirt, sit down then stand up and the shirttail has been pulled out of the pants.
I had a buddy in Ottumwa, Iowa back in the 70's. He told me it must be horrible not to wake up with a hangover because these people know they'll feel better as the day goes on. Non-drinkers always feel the same.
What Fauci Admitted Today
Fauci just admitted:
** The virus may not have originated naturally — something he refuted earlier until now
** The US DID FUND Chinese research at the Wuhan Labs
** The US funded this research through NIH grants under his leadership
This was right after he accused Senator Paul of lying about this collaboration.
We now know that Senator Paul was 100% correct on his assertions during his Senate testimony.
And we now know that Dr. Anthony Fauci LIED under oath.
Fauci funded the Wuhan labs that leaked the COVID-19 virus and then shut down the US economy after the virus came to America.
It is hard to fathom how much damage this one man did to our country — and then lied about if for months. https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2021/05/huge-rat-trap-fauci-admits-covid-may-lab-admits-funding-chinese-labs-video/#
In 1982 Anthony Fauci was assigned the task of coming up with a vaccine for the AIDS crisis. "Anthony, we're still waiting."

If You Have 10 MInutes Look At Mars Photos
This is awesome reconstructed video of MARS. An amazing exhibition of technology advances over the years.
In the 70's, Teledyne Ryan Electronics designed and built the landing radars for the VIKING MISSION TO MARS.
This was the first attempt to land on Mars and we put both VIKING 1 AND 2 on the Martian surface after traveling for three months
and covering 300M miles. It's mission was to land and dig some soil samples to analyze and send the data to Earth. It was
successful.
These new missions were beyond our wildest dreams "back in the day." The pictures are really something. Enjoy!
Curing Cancer
Two gentlemen in American History with whom you should become better acquainted with are Orville and Wilbur Wright. Yes, they owned a bicycle shop in Dayton, Ohio but they also had a dream and that was to take flight. With their own money, $1,600, they financed their venture while governments in France, Gt. Britain and the United States financed hundreds of thousands of dollars for ill-fated ventures.
I've often thought there must be a reason our government has spent millions upon millions supporting cancer research over the years without the cure coming. Sure, we've made in roads but to date have not conquered this most horrid of diseases.
Well, hold onto your hats. There are a group of students, pharmacologists. at tiny Findlay College in Findlay, Ohio who may have hit upon the cure for brain cancer. They have developed a chemical compound that destroys gliobastoma (brain cancer) cells. And to think they did this without government funding.
From Here To Eternity
One of Britain’s longest-married couples have celebrated their 100th birthday together—and that too, just days after marking their 76th wedding anniversary.
Eric and Dorothy Dowdy tied the knot on April 3, 1945, and have remained inseparable ever since. The loving couple were born just a day apart; Eric was born on April 11, 1921, a day before Dorothy. https://www.theepochtimes.com/mkt_app/couple-married-for-76-years-and-born-just-a-day-apart-celebrated-100th-birthday-together_3788204.html?v=ul

A Commencement Address For The Ages
Joe Biden gave the commencement address to the graduates of the Coast Guard today. I sort of doubt I'd begin this way:
"You're a really dull class. Come on, man. Is the sun getting to you?" Biden said Wednesday in Connecticut after comparing the Coast Guard with the Navy. "All kidding aside, being here together is a victory in and of itself."
In closing remarks Joe came up with this gem.
“There’s a saying that we use in a different context, a Chinese saying that says, ‘Women hold up half the world."
The comes directly from Chairman Mao's Little Red Book.
God help us all.
Finally, A Positive About The Pesky Mosquito
In the big scheme of life is there anyone who sees an advantage in the mosquito? Oh, bats like them for food and that's the extent of the good things up until now.
My knowledge of the blood suckers is this: they cause malaria and they're a pain in the butt when one sits around a camp fire after the sun goes down especially in northern Minnesota.
But, scientists have discovered in their snouts a way to incorporate it into computers to detect a variety of diseases in man including cancer. Read on------------------ https://singularityhub.com/2021/01/26/scientists-made-a-biohybrid-nose-using-cells-from-mosquitoes/
