Deceit

Remember how The One told us his administration would be the most transparent in history? Remember how Bubba told us his administration would be the most ethical in history? When I hear nonsense like this my antennae go sky high in a heartbeat. It's the same when I hear a politician say, "I'm going to fight for you" What a crock!
Regardless, Obama told us he would never sign a bill until five days after passage and we would all get a chance to read it. Well, that nugget has already been broken with the equal pay for women act. Democrats, today, neglected to allow their constituents the honor of having the ability to read on-line the bills presented. Wonder why? It isn't that long ago, 9/12 as a matter of fact that hundreds of thousands marched on D.C. There's a rumor going around on twitter tonight that the Democrats are going to cram through health care by using some serious shenanigans.
Rise up citizens!

Field Hockey

I tuned into the Big Ten Network to watch a replay of last weeks' Iowa-Arizona football game. What a disappointment to find out the game was replaced with a showing, a replay too, of an Iowa-Michigan women's field hockey game. I watched exactly four minutes of it before I jumped off my rooftop; headfirst. This is not a game. It's torture. Think soccer with sticks and you know the game. The sticks used to hit the balls are too short for the players and they bend over at the waist when running and hitting.
Did you know that field hockey, aka lacrosse, was invented by the Indians? That would be Indians, American style. As I recall it was some time around 1650 AD that two tribes, Algonquin or Iroquois, invited some colonials to watch their match. In those days the hockey sticks weren't fiberglas. They were sticks with a rock on the end. The naive colonists went to the event and, much to their surprise, had their skulls caved in. And that's the truth.

Cuba: Land Of Paradise?

Once again I've been reading and hearing from the nut jobs in Hollywood about how wonderful every day life in Cuba is with their state of the art medical health care system. Forget congresswoman Maxine Watters who seemingly makes a trip to Havana on a weekly basis, her lips stitched to the butt cheeks of the Castro brothers. Most every member of the congressional black caucus thinks there is a utopia 90 miles south of Key West and it's a year round vacation paradise. And then there are the certified boobs; Michael Moore, Danny Glover, Sean Penn, Harry Belafonte, Susan Sarandon and her boy toy live-in. There are the flavor of the month Hollywood wannabes who regularly go on Air America and speak to the three or four listeners and get sexually excited shouting the word, 'Che'. They'll brag about dipping their toes in the Cuban beaches teeming with gold and silver. They'll regale us of stories about how they got to ride around town in a deluxe 1957 Chevy, Cuba's vehhicle of choice.
Well, things seem to be changing. Two months ago we were told that come January, maybe December, there will be no toilet paper in the country. Yep! You read that correctly. It's either leaves or grass. Take your pick. Heck! There won't be a reason to toilet train your kids. "Do it on the floor, sweetie", says Mom. I find this almost unimaginable but the following article comes from The Associated Press:
"President Raul Castro is taking a bold gamble to ease communist Cuba's cash crunch by eliminating a costly government lunch program that feeds almost a third of the nation's population every workday.
The Americas' only one-party communist government, held afloat largely by support from its key ally Venezuela, is desperate to improve its budget outlook; the global economy is slack, and Havana is very hard pressed to secure international financing.
Raul Castro, 76, officially took over as Cuba's president in February 2008 after his brother, revolutionary icon Fidel Castro, stepped aside with health problems.
Though some wondered if Raul Castro would try to move Cuba's centralized economy toward more market elements, so far he has sought to boost efficiency and cut corruption and waste without reshaping the economic system.
And so far it has been an uphill battle, something akin to treading water.
But now, Raul Castro has moved to set in motion what will likely be the biggest rollback of an entitlement since Cuba's 1959 revolution -- starting to put an end to the daily lunch program for state workers, as announced Friday in Granma, the Cuban Communist Party newspaper.
In a country where workers earn the average of 17 dollars a month, and state subsidized monthly food baskets are not enough for families, more than 3.5 million Cuban government employees -- out of a total population of 11.2 million -- benefit from the nutritionally significant free meal.
The price tag is a cool 350 million dollars a year, not counting energy costs or facilities maintenance, Granma said.
But that will come to a halt in four ministries experimentally from October 1, Granma said. As workers stream to the 24,700 state lunchrooms, the government "is faced with extremely high state spending due to extremely high international market prices, infinite subsidies and freebies," Granma explained.
Parallel to the cutback, workers will see their salaries boosted by 15 pesos a workday (.60 dollar US) to cover their lunch."

Feinstein: "Humans Are Losers"

From Investors Business Daily:
Senator Dianne Feinstein voted to deny water to California's drought-stricken San Joaquin Valley. Farmers, families and food are being held hostage to an endangered fish called the delta smelt.
There was a time when the San Joaquin Valley was the most productive agricultural region in the world. It was a large part of what made the Golden State golden.
Now it's a place where farmers no longer farm, but instead line up at food banks to feed the families of those who once fed the rest of the country and a good chunk of the world.
The largest man-made agricultural disaster since the Dust Bowl of the 1930s is unfolding in the valley due to yet another attempt to protect a fish declared to be threatened under the Endangered Species Act. This damage is being done to protect the hypomesus transpacificus, otherwise known as the delta smelt.
Last December the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, in its finite wisdom, issued something called a biological opinion imposing water restrictions on the San Joaquin Valley and surrounding areas to protect the habitat of this tiny fish. The authorities forget the species homo sapiens, also part of the ecosystem, is threatened.
Its habitat is being destroyed — by government edict.
To protect the smelt, billions of gallons of water from the mountains east and north of Sacramento have been channeled away from farms and into the ocean, while farmers watched their crops wither and their once-productive land become barren.
Kern County authorities say that 145,000 acres that are usually irrigated with this water were killed or underirrigated last year. The loss was estimated at $100 million in that county alone. The University of California, Davis, estimates that San Joaquin Valley farm revenue losses ranged from $482 million to $647 million. Total economic losses could hit $3 billion this year.
In affected areas, the jobless rate is at 14%, with farming towns such as Mendota experiencing unemployment near 40%. In August, 50 valley mayors signed a letter to President Obama asking him to come and witness the devastation firsthand.
Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger says he "doesn't have the authority to turn on the pumps" that the feds have ordered turned off. In June, the administration denied his request to designate California a federal disaster area because of the drought even though the U.S. Drought Monitor lists 43% of the state as being under "severe drought" conditions.

I'm Depressed

P-BO went to the United nations today and did his usual speech. He downgraded the United States while building up his own presence as our President. Barry received great tribute from Mummar Quaddafy, world-wide murderer. The Libyan leader, looking like a villainous character in a Batman movie rambled for over an hour but did let the UN delegates know that he wanted P-BO to be our President, forever.
As for Obama, I'm getting damned sick and tired of his pontificating and denouncing all of America as a bad-bad-bad country. Barry, go away.
Note: There are twenty-one different ways to spell Quaddafy, according to The Madman. In other words, it's impossible to misspell his name.

ACORN Is SEIU

From Canada Free Press:
Jaime E. Feliciano, president of the radical Service Employees International Union (SEIU) Local 1000 District Labor Council 784, has been convicted of possessing child pornography.
Even before the kiddie porn charges were laid, Feliciano was already a convicted sex offender, the Sacramento Bee reported last year. The paper reported that according to court records, “Feliciano was convicted in 1993 of lewd or lascivious act with a child under the age of 14 years, which is a felony.”
Two SEIU locals, 100 in New Orleans and 880 in Chicago, are ACORN affiliates. The chief organizer of Local 100 is Wade Rathke, who was expelled last year from ACORN for orchestrating an eight-year long coverup of his brother’s embezzlement of nearly $1 million from ACORN. ACORN insider Keith Kelleher is chief organizer of Local 880.
Six months ago, ACORN tried to cover up the fact that Locals 100 and 880 are part of the ACORN network.

Who Wrote The Bill?

Work with me, people. I'm prone in bed two nights ago watching Greta Van Susteren on Fox. She has in her dainty pinkies the health care bill. Isn't it around 1,200 pages plus? Then she has two more addendums to the original health care bill; both around 800 pages. Keep up with me. Obama took office on January 20, 2009. The health bill was passed by the House sometime in July. So, part of January, all of February, March, April, May, June and part of July is what it took to come up with this monstrosity.? It's impossible for morons(members of the House) to compose this many words, pages, amendments, etc. in such a short period of time. Is it possible this was all a leftover from Queen Hillary' reign?
When people like John Conyers, responsible for writing bills, says the health bill was too difficult for him to read and understand then who the heck is supposed to get the credit? Just something to think about.

On Being A Racist

From the American Thinker's Sammy Benoit:
The Joe Wilson controversy has caused me to spend some time soul searching. After examining the 6,000+ posts written on The Lid and here at American Thinker over the past few years and after conducting some deep self-reflection, there is just one conclusion, they are correct...I am a racist.
Because I was concerned that Barack Obama associated with domestic terrorist Bill Ayers, I am a racist.
Because I think that Joe Wilson's "you lie" comment was true, but they way he said it and the venue he said it in was inappropriate, I am a racist.
Because I am worried that the health care plans pushed by President Obama will diminish the quality of medical care for my Caucasian parents and children (and end up raising their taxes too) I am a racist.
Because I think Jimmy Carter is a horse's ass for defending President Obama by calling his detractors racist, I am a racist.
Because I believe that David Letterman is no longer funny because all he does is "suck up" to Barack Obama, I am a racist
Because I believe that in exposing some of the scary people around President Obama (like Science Czar John Holdren or Regulatory Czar Cass Sunstein), Glen Beck is performing a great service to America, I am a racist.
Because I believe Barack Obama has surrounded himself with Anti-Israel advisers such as Samantha Powers, I am a racist.
Because I believe that the stimulus bill created by Nancy Pelosi and pushed through by Barack Obama was bad for America, I am a racist.
Because I believe my Congressman, Steve Israel is wrong when he keeps voting for the President's agenda without reading the bills, I am a racist.
Because I believe that "news reporters" who blindly advocate for the President like Charlie Gibson, Katie Couric and Keith Olbermann, are defaming the memory of real reporters like Edward R. Murrow, I am a racist.
Because I believe that Congressman Jerrold Nadler is wrong to stop congress from investigating ACORN, I am a racist.
Because I think that Wade Rathke set up ACORN as a multi-pronged criminal enterprise, I am a racist.
Because I believe that President Barack Obama was correct when he called Kanye West a jackass, I am a racist.
By now you must have seen the pattern I saw upon self-reflection. Look at all the names in bold. The people above that I knocked all have one thing in common. Each and every one of them has a Caucasian mother.
You see, upon self-reflection I have determined that I must be a racist; I must hate everyone who has at least one White Parent.
Oh and one more, because I think that even I am a racist, and since I am Caucasian and bash so many others who have Caucasian DNA such as President Obama, Sammy Benoit is a racist.

Good-Bye Doc

In an Investor's Business Daily IBD/TIPP poll released today, 9/16, 72% of physicians disagree with administration claims that the government can cover 30-47 million more people with better quality health care.
45% of doctors "would consider leaving their practice or taking early retirement".
Call your congressmen and see what kind of rationalization you'll get from them as to why there won't be long wait lines and rationing.

Rebuked

The Democrat led House of Representatives officially gave Joe Wilson(R) South Carolina a formal rebuke today for his "you lie" comment to President Obama at last week's joint session of congress. This has the same impact as if someone I really hate told me they didn't like me. I might also add that it has the power of a huge BFD!

Cash For Clunkers-A Real Clunker

The top selling vehicles in the latest government boondoggle are in and, surprisingly, it's the same old story------failure. There is one American car on the list and they, Ford, DID NOT take stimulus money. Just for you info, I purchased nothing but the Buick LeSabre from 1988-2007, 8 in all, and I will never buy another GM(Government Motors) vehicle again.
Top 10 cash for clunkers purchases:

Toyota Corolla
Honda Civic
Ford Focus
Toyota Camry
Hyundai Elantra
Toyota Prius
Nissan Versa
Ford Escape FWD
Honda Fit
Honda CR-V AWD

Charles Gibson ABC (No)News

I just heard a clip from WLS radio, the Big 89, from this morning's show. The hosts, Don and Roma interviewed Charles Gibson. This would be Charley Gibson of ABC news Tonight. He was asked about the weeks revelations dealing with ACORN; setting up brothels, money laundering, videos on how to bring in 13 year-olds from El Salvador to be prostitutes; the whole nine yards. Mr. Gibson answered, I don't know what you guys are talking about". I'm flabbergasted at the stupidity of this man and how gullible he thinks the public can be. It's no wonder the 'Mainstream Media' is not longer that any more.

Democrats Phony Outrage

From David Limbaugh:

Memo to the Democratic leadership threatening to censure Rep. Joe Wilson if he doesn't publicly apologize on the House floor for calling President Barack Obama a liar on that floor: You don't have the moral authority to be demanding apologie
Not only has their own decorum in that very chamber been abysmal at times, such as when they booed President George W. Bush during his 2005 State of the Union address; they do much worse damage every week to this nation and its institutions than Joe Wilson conceivably could have done with his temporary breach of decorum.
While Democratic leaders are wagging their fingers at the Republican Party's alleged descent into incivility over Joe Wilson's unplanned, indignant outburst, they have a very short memory about their own partywide monopoly on incivility, as they savaged President Bush throughout his presidency. I researched and wrote a 400-plus-page book documenting the moral and intellectual bankruptcy of these hypocritical scolds in 2006, in case you need a refresher course.
Unlike Rep. Wilson, these offending Democrats have never apologized for their outrages. Did Rep. John Murtha apologize for prejudging and slandering our battlefield Marines who were later vindicated? Did Sen. Harry Reid ever apologize for calling President Bush a liar? Al Gore? John Kerry? Has suspected tax evader Rep. Charles Rangel apologized for his conduct while devising new ways to confiscate even higher taxes from honest, hardworking Americans who actually pay their taxes?
Did Sen. Dick Durbin retract the substance of his remarks in comparing Gitmo to the gulag? Did House leader Nancy Pelosi repent for defaming the CIA?
While we're at it, is anyone calling Obama and his colleagues on their opportunistic attacks on the Bush administration for not capturing Osama bin Laden, just as bin Laden has reportedly issued another taped lecture against the United States from some undisclosed cave somewhere?
On a related matter, Democrats, in order to bolster their credibility to attack President Bush on Iraq, pretended for years to be war hawks on Afghanistan. Iraq, they said, was an ill-conceived Bush-Cheney diversion from the war on terror. The real war, they said, was Afghanistan, where al-Qaida trained for its 9/11 attacks. But I could have sworn I just read this past week that Nancy Pelosi said, "I don't think there's a great deal of support for sending more troops to Afghanistan, in the country or in the Congress." I guess Dems were just kidding, then, when they bludgeoned President Bush for soft-pedaling "the good war," huh?
Then there's the little matter of Social Security, the subject that gave rise to Democrats' unceremoniously booing President Bush on the House floor. Though Democrats were so concerned about a looming Social Security crisis in 2000 that Bill Clinton and Al Gore demanded Social Security funds be placed in a "lockbox," they caught partisan amnesia when President Bush tried to reform it five years later.
The Chicago Tribune reported Feb. 3, 2005, that Democrats "plan to stand in the cold and excoriate the president, accusing him of dismantling a 70-year-old promise to senior citizens." The beloved Sen. Harry Reid went so far as to say: "Social Security is not in crisis. It's a crisis the president's created, period." Do you suppose an apology will be forthcoming from Reid, though, now that government-revised estimates project the insolvency of Social Security to occur even sooner than expected?
How about the Democratic leaders who urged President Bush in January 2007 to reverse his "reckless" fiscal policies, a move that would include "difficult choices and shared sacrifices"? Where are these latter-day fiscal hawks now that President Obama is deliberately bleeding the national treasury and mortgaging our future earnings in pursuit of a fiscal recklessness so egregious that it represents a difference in kind, rather than degree, from President Bush's budgetary infractions?
In the meantime, could we please not lose sight of the fact that Wilson's claim was substantively true? President Obama has dissembled on many of his health care claims. Adding insult to injury, in that very speech before Congress, Obama was falsely accusing Republicans of lying -- an accusatory art Democrats perfected during the Bush years.
Indeed, if Democrats were to issue public apologies every time accepted moral standards demanded it, they wouldn't have time for governance, which would be a wonderful development. This latest witch hunt -- against Rep. Wilson, who has already apologized to the White House -- is strategically designed, along with their infernal playing of the race card against Obama's critics, to divert attention from and marginalize the spontaneous grass-roots tidal wave of opposition to Obama's socialist agenda.
So please, Democratic high officials, spare us the phony sanctimony in your transparent attempt to mask your own policy outrages, about which the public has been awakened and duly mobilized.

Stupid Seven

Eighty-three members of the senate voted to defund ACORN yesterday, thanks to Glenn Beck and Fox News. Two Democrats were absent for the vote and seven voted for ACORN to keep its funding.
The Senate has voted overwhelmingly to strip ACORN of funding in the Transportation/Housing and Urban Development appropriations bill. After ACORN workers were caught on tape in three cities allegedly abetting what they believed was a fraudulent mortgage and sex-trafficking scheme, only seven senators were willing to stand by them:

Sheldon Whitehouse, D-R.I.
Roland Burris, D-Ill.
Dick Durbin, D-Ill.
Bernie Sanders, D-Vt.
Patrick Leahy, D-Vt.
Bob Casey, D-Pa.
Kirsten Gillibrand, D-N.Y.
Not voting were Sen. Barbara Mikulski, D-Md., and Sen. Robert Byrd, D-W.Va.

Seniors Screwed

I'm on social security but I'm taking a bullet for the good of the country. I am supposed to accept, no whining allowed, the fact that I will not receive a cost of living adjustment for the next three years. Our United States Congress has decided this does not apply to them. They receive an automatic increase every year, a pay raise, if you will. The only way they won't get their cash is if they vote not to take it. Fat chance!
We and our tax dollars have bailed out big business, the auto industry, cash for clunkers, Wall Street and pork projects so laden with lard they are almost, but not quite, laughable. The people who put in, seniors, are being used as pawns by the Democrats. Do they actually expect us to support a health care program that dumps us in the crapper?

A Whole Lotta Patriots

Forget what has been written by the LA Times, Washington comPost and Chicago Tribune regarding the number of participants at last Saturdays Tea Party March on DC there is a gauge used to mention how many people were on Pennsylvania Avenue at one time. It shows approximately 1.5 million patriots in attendance. The aforementioned newsprint media say it was 75,000. Really, who are you going to believe?

The Democrat Race Lie

From BlackandRight.com for September 13, 2009. It's a long but thoroughly revealing look at the Big Lie that Democrats have been in the forefront of the Black Civil Rights movement.
This whopper deserves all the attention it can get. Again, it shows the ignorance and contempt of the electorate liberals depend on.
Even TODAY on the Democrats.org website…
Democrats are unwavering in our support of equal opportunity for all Americans. That’s why we’ve worked to pass every one of our nation’s Civil Rights laws, and every law that protects workers. Most recently, Democrats stood together to reauthorize the Voting Rights Act.
On every civil rights issue, Democrats have led the fight. We support vigorous enforcement of existing laws, and remain committed to protecting fundamental civil rights in America.
This is the kind of BS spewed by Democrats on a daily basis, and unfortunately the media and other so-called watchdogs are so apparently ignorant of American history, Democrats continue to LIE through their teeth to their constituents, and via academia, to our kids. Despite the truth being out there for years, it’s probably not going to explode until some big shot news anchor gives us an “explosive expose” bringing us all those facts first, so he/she can proudly receive a Pulitzer…
While I have written extensively on civil rights history, here’s an except from yet another list of historical bullet points that dispute Democrat claims of civil rights support. We should hire three or four colored ministers, preferably with social-service backgrounds, and with engaging personalities. The most successful educational approach to the Negro is through a religious appeal. We don’t want the word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population….
So the next time any Democrat claims they’ve been supportive of civil rights in America (and been so all along), ask them to explain their past. “We’ve grown” is not gonna cut it, considering they continue to lie about their past to this day.
And I’m tired of the recitation that Southern Democrats became Republicans and took their racist tendencies with them. It didn’t take the Clintons and Barack Obama (Democrats) long to trade race cards, did it?

Big Media, Big Losers

From Noel Shepard at Newsbuters:
"You would think videos exposing representatives of the controversial organization ACORN giving advice on how a couple can get a loan to set up a brothel would be BIG NEWS.
Such would seem especially the case if the proposed house of ill repute would be employing minors illegally smuggled across the border from Central America.
Yet, when Andrew Breitbart's new website Big Government published such videos Thursday morning, media normally fascinated with sex stories almost completely ignored it
The boycott continued even after several ACORNers were fired.
ABC, CBS, NBC, and MSNBC have not aired one television report concerning this matter
The New York Times has not published one article concerning this matter
USA Today has not published one article concerning this matter
The Boston Globe has not published one article concerning this matter
The Los Angeles Times has not published one article concerning this matter
The Chicago Tribune has not published one article concerning this matter
Bucking the boycott trend were the Washington Post, the Associated Press, CNN, and Fox News. ABC's Jake Tapper also wrote about this at his Political Punch blog (h/t Paul Chesser)."
Oh, and how can we forget that an anti-aboriton advocate in Owosso, Michigan was assassinated two days ago and not one mention in the media. When George Tiller, "the baby killer" was murdered our President held a news conference three hours after the factdenouncing the act.

How Dumb Are They

First, it was a flyover of New York City by a rather large plane bringing back memories of 9/11. Today, it was another very stupid move. These people are very dumb. I took the following from Andrew Breitbart's new site, BigGovernment.com

"The White House is defending the Coast Guard's decision to hold a training exercise in the Potomac River on the anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks.
Spokesman Robert Gibbs says he doesn't believe the White House was notified about the training exercise. He says if law enforcement felt there was a need for the exercise it's "best not to second-guess."
Gibbs sharply criticized CNN for airing an inaccurate report that shots were fired during the exercise, saying "before we report things like this, checking would be good."
The training exercise took place near the route President Barack Obama traveled to a Sept. 11 ceremony at the Pentagon around the same time."

Obama's National Day Of Service-Disgusting

This is such a crock. To change this day, 9/11, into a service day to the Great One and his government, is insulting and disgusting. As an example, I took the following from the web site Service.Gov. Is this the Hope and Change you Obamites wanted?

"Secretary Vilsack(Secretary of Agriculture) and Interfaith Leaders Participate in a Service Event in Rural Ohio to Promote United We Serve
Community Renewal.
Secretary Vilsack is in Zanesville, Ohio for a Rural Tour town hall focusing on green jobs and a new energy economy. After the forum, the Secretary visited Maple Terrace, a public housing facility for low-income senior citizens. He led an interfaith service event highlighting President Obama’s United We Serve volunteerism initiative. Secretary Vilsack joined local Christian, Jewish, and Muslim leaders to distribute energy-efficient Compact Fluorescent Lightbulbs (CFLs) to Maple Terrace residents."

Todd Beamer

Remembering him is remembering the day, the memory and all who perished.

John Stossel

Hooray for the good guys. John Stossel has signed a contract with the FoxNews and the Fox Business channel. Stossel, as you may know, as been with ABC for a good, long time most recently as a host of 20/20. Stossel had a very significant segment on health care eliminated from the show so that the Michal Jackson extravaganza could be covered. This was his final straw with the ABC group. Brit Hume and Chris Wallace are two others who left the liberal network for the greenest of pastures with real journalism.

ACORN Funding Prostitution

From Gateway Pundit:
ACORN is the largest radical Leftist group in America today.
This radical group worked closely with the Obama campaign during the election. But, the community organizing group was not open about this. The photo below was scrubbed from the ACORN website before the election:
One of Barack Obama's first big "community organizer" jobs involved ACORN in 1992. Obama also trained ACORN employees. He represented ACORN in court. Obama worked with and protested with ACORN. His campaign donated $800,000 to ACORN this year for voter registration efforts.
And, ACORN even canvassed for Obama this year.
It looks like ACORN's hard work paid off.
Democrats funneled $8.5 billion of taxpayer money to the corrupt ACORN Organization this year.
Earlier this year democrats voted to fund groups like ACORN.
Now today, we find out that the Democrats favorite community organizers are pushing teen prostitution.
It figures. Big Government has the undercover investigation that the state-run media is ignoring
ry
As of today, September 11, 2009 not one of the mainstream media has run a news story
about yesterday's revelation and video of underage ACORN prostitution. God have mercy on our nation. We are in huge trouble.

Hang Tough

Gotta give the Libs credit for one thing. When it comes to changing the landscape they keep on pushing and driving to get their way. It's like parents whose kids continually whine and moan about going someplace or wanting some little trinket until mom and dad get sick of listening to the claptrap. Then, they finally give in because it's easier than continually saying, "No". Examples: the Social Security System, as set up, was supposed to be a temporary fix. Initially, some private investment was to be allowed". Abortion was the same. It would be allowed up to the end of the first trimester. That was it! Well, we all know how that went. Bush and his famous, "Read my lips, no new taxes" found it's way into the thrash can of history when the Dems promised to reduce the deficits if Bush would go along with their tax plan. Result of this was Bush lost the presidency, thanks in great part to H. Ross Perot, and this opened the door to Bubba Clinton assuming the throne.
The moral of the story is: Never believe anything promised to you by the Dems and Liberals. As President Reagan said, "trust but verify".

Joe Wilson Told The Truth

From Robert Parks at BlackandRight.com It just doesn't work out any better than this:

Congressman Joe Wilson may have given Republicans a new rallying cry, because the words “Obama” and “lie” seem to work very well together.
President Obama has joined the push to allow Gov. Deval Patrick to make a temporary appointment to the U.S. Senate, reversing an earlier pledge that he would not get involved.
Representatives from Obama’s political committee Organizing for America sent out an e-mail to supporters urging them to call Bay State lawmakers and support a Beacon Hill bill allowing Patrick to appoint an interim senator in the late U.S. Sen. Edward M. Kennedy’s seat.
When Massachusetts was led by a Republican governor, the Democrat super majority legislature took away his ability to name a successor for a vacant federal seat. But now that Massachusetts has a Democrat governor, all of a sudden allowing The People to vote in a special election next year isn’t a good idea. It also means that the votes needed for Obama’s health care to pass may be closer than we know.
But when it comes to the word of the President, it’s just words.

Obama Did Talk Politics

From today's Black and Right web site: Despite the ongoing mocking from the
president’s pitchpersons to the contrary, behind closed doors Barack Obama did get political with some kids he talked to at the Wakefield High School in Arlington, Virginia.
Prior to his nationally broadcast speech to students on Tuesday, President Barack Obama made a pitch for health care reform in a discussion with 40 freshmen at Wakefield High School in Arlington, Va.
Although the president avoided controversial topics in his speech, he did promote health care reform in a face-to-face discussion at Wakefield High School. Asked by a student how he stays motivated to do his job, Obama replied that his staff gives him 10 letters every day from “ordinary folks.”
So the next time he tries to give a speech to kids and his people insist parents are being “silly” because the absurd notion of the president indoctrinating was never the intention, just call them what they’ve proven to be: liars.

Team Players?

From The Hill for 9/9/09
The ball is in President Obama's court to reach out to Republicans if he wants a bipartisan bill on healthcare reform, House GOP Leader John Boehner (Ohio) said Monday morning.
Boehner told reporters that the president has not invited House GOP leaders to the White House for meetings on healthcare reform since the end of April.
Earlier this year, GOP leaders sent a letter to the president in May stating that they would like to work with the administration to find "common ground" on healthcare reform.
But the administration responded with a tersely worded letter indicating that they had healthcare reform under control.

Scatology

One of the first things I did this morning was to check the cable TV lineup for tonight. Instead of watching the night of the living dead starring PBO I'm going to enjoy myself watching anything else. What's the use in listening to drivel? The lefty stations and print media will makes certain to let us know he hit it out of the ballpark. I'll wait and pick through the garbage myself. I mean, why watch a bovine swallow a diamond ring then reach down to pull it out. I'll wait for nature to take it's course, hose it down then grab the sparkly without having to go through the dirty work.
Juan Williams of NPR and FoxNews(he has some sense) tells us that it's make or break for Obama, not just for health care but for his entire presidency. Time to start the rosary, folks. Personally, I have the very best reason for not having government health care. We don't have the money!

The Teardrop Memorial

How many of you readers have heard of the Teardrop Memorial? If you only read the MSM I'm sure there are very few. If you read Rush 24/7, The American Thinker or Fox plus a number of right side blogs you could find a reference, too.
The Teardrop was given by the Russians to the United States in 2005 in remembrance of 9/11. If you can google this memorial you will find some beautiful pictures and read the story of how this came to be.

Democrats Like Communists, Anti-Semites & Racists

From 1960's communist turned conservative, David Horowitz in FrontPage magazine:
There is no more mystery about Van Jones. He was a passionate defender of cop-killer Mumia Abu Jamal, a self-satisfied and described "Communist," a supporter of the destruction of the Jewish state, and a promoter of the theory that the Katrina tragedy was a white racist plot, and so forth. That's okay with Democratic chairman Howard Dean, and Obama's Environmental Quality Council head Nancy Sutley. (See Ron Radosh's current blog for chapter and verse, and also the many blogs on Jones at our own www.newsrealblog.com.) This should surprise no one. The recent heads of the black caucus in the House -- part of the 120 member "progressive caucus" -- have all been Castro-loving racists -- Maxine Waters and Barbara Lee to name two off the top of my head. Diane Watson is probably next. The Democratic Party today is a "popular front" organization (to pluck an appropriate term from the 1930s when liberals and Stalinists lined up together as well). There are no scoundrels, America haters, racists -- that Democrats won't assimlate. One of the more obnoxious racists and crooks in public life -- Charlie Rangel -- is still chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee because Nancy Pelosi can't remove him so strong is his support in her party.
And if you don't believe how far left the Democrats have lurched when I say it, here's authentification from Alan Colmes who, after ignoring all the evidence about who Van Jones actually is and what he believes, and pretending that it's all a Glenn Beck-World Net Daily-Horowitz plot, concludes "Van Jones is a mainstream liberal." That's exactly right Alan. And that's exactly the problem.
How did things get to this pass? Let me just single out one problem, because it's the one conservatives can actually affect. And that is to start calling things by their right names. The timidity and cowardice of Republicans towards Democratic Party ourtages of this nature is a principal culprit. When you call Communists "liberals" it legitimizes them. The time has come to stop it. To stop the charade , stick your head out the window and say "I'm mad as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore."

Nutjob Czar #2

Cass Sunstein is some kind of Obama czar. I get mixed up with these yahoos. Regardless, he's come out with a plan calling for mandatory organ donation unless the deceased has specifically opted out. I think this is called, "opening up the proverbial can of worms".

The Irony Of It Is

Tomorrow, the President of the United States will be speaking to our public school children exhorting them to stay in school, be respectful toward their teachers and do the best that they can. The Administration made some changes in its earlier script e.g. having the kids do an assignment. It's too bad his own children, Onomatopoeia and Zamboni or whoever, won't be able to hear the speech. It won't be funneled into the very private, $30,000 a year, Friends School.

Van Jones R.I.P.

I took this piece of wisdom from the Big Hollywood website.
"The American way manufactured by white folk in office, by these rich men here to mock us. The United States; a piece of stolen land led by right-wing, war-hungry, of oil thirsty… And when it’s all said and done still can’t [garbled] the wrong place piececause they got people of color playing servant to do that shit for them; mother fuckers ready to wipe out soft targets on territories harboring terrorists?
The true terrorists are made in the U.S."

Obama And Hillary Knew

From the American Thinker 9/6/09
It seems that Obama is not going to get away with blaming the Brits for releasing the Lockerbie bomber. At least not if Downing Street can help it. The British say the White House and Secretary of State Clinton were fully informed of the decision and are deflecting blame onto the British now that the decision has proven to be unpopular.
(Of course, given how the American press hides stories, like Van Jones that reflect badly on the President, unless Americans seek out alternate media or read the foreign press the White House deflection will probably work.)
Here is how the Daily Mail reported the Obama administration's knowledge of the transfer of Megrahi:
British officials claim Mr Obama and Mrs Clinton were kept informed at all stages of discussions concerning Megrahi’s return.
The officials say the Americans spoke out because they were taken aback by the row over Megrahi’s release, not because they did not know it was about to happen.
‘The US was kept fully in touch about everything that was going on with regard to Britain’s discussions with Libya in recent years and about Megrahi,’ said the Whitehall aide.
‘We would never do anything about Lockerbie without discussing it with the US. It is disingenuous of them to act as though Megrahi’s return was out of the blue.'

Boobs And Viagra

From FrontPage Magazine:
Do you think pedophiles should be given Viagra at taxpayers' expense? Despite what appears to be an absurd question, that is exactly what occurred in Britain under their National Health Service (NHS).
Reports surfaced last week that a pedophile who had abused an 11-year-old girl had been spared jail, yet was continuing to receive Viagra, courtesy of the British taxpayer. On Aug. 23, the London Sunday Times reported that the NHS has spent more than $2.5 million during the "past five years on sex-change operations for transsexuals."Earlier this year, it was revealed that the NHS paid $6,000 for breast implants for a 17-year-old girl "because she was jealous of school pals' bigger busts," which caused her to be moody. Susie Squire of the British Taxpayers Alliance, reacting to these outrages said, "The NHS is struggling to provide basic and lifesaving surgery. Cancer drugs should always come above [breast enhancement]."
The misuse of taxpayer money that Ms. Squire and her colleagues have identified is a direct result of British government officials having the power to decide what medical procedures will and will not be allowed under the NHS.
If the United States creates a government-run health system, either as a monopoly single-payer system like Canada's or one that allows people to acquire medical care outside the government's system (provided they pay for both the government system and whatever private alternative they select), it is a safe bet the same types of abuses and problems that plague Britain and Canada will occur.
The reason is simple: There will only be limited funds available for the government-run health care system, and thus individuals employed by the government will decide who gets what and when. Some of the decisions will be wise; others will be foolish, wasteful, or just plain daffy -- because humans who spend other people's money don't tend to be all that careful.
Unlike most other goods, there is an insatiable demand for health care, particularly as people age. Any government trying to provide "free" health care for all its citizens for whatever they deemed to be a health problem would soon be bankrupt. To avoid bankruptcy, all governments ration health care -- by price, queuing or by form of treatment. Many members of Congress and the president -- after first admitting it -- now deny some form of rationing will be necessary. President Obama earlier suggested limiting forms of treatment, particularly to the elderly -- as is done under Medicare.

Van Jones Is Obama

From the editorial board at Investors Business Daily.
Van Jones, a special adviser to the president, revealed his Trojan-horse strategy during a 2008 interview on leftist Uprising Radio in Los Angeles.
"The green economy will start off as a small subset" of a "complete revolution" away from "gray capitalism" and toward "redistribution of all the wealth," he said. "And we are going to push it and push it and push it until it becomes the engine for transforming the whole society."
A self-described "communist," Jones caught heat recently for calling Republicans "a**holes." He's also a 9/11 "truther" as it turns out, one of many red flags in a radical past that, remarkably, didn't disqualify him from shaping domestic policy in this White House.
Jones apologized for his "inappropriate" remarks concerning Republicans while distancing himself from the nutty people calling for an investigation of the Bush administration for bombing the Twin Towers on 9/11. Jones signed a petition pushing for such a witch hunt, even though the Ivy League lawyer claims he didn't know what he was signing.
But he hasn't been made to answer for his communist beliefs, which are even deeper than first thought.
Trying to change the subject, Jones insisted his work at the White House is "entirely focused on one goal: building clean-energy incentives which create 21st century jobs that improve energy efficiency and use renewable resources."
That doesn't tell the full story.
As the president's "green-jobs czar," it's clear Jones has a hidden agenda. Judging from his own words, his environmental concerns appear to be a front for creating a massive new welfare program — complete with paid job training and counseling — for criminals.
Jones has a shockingly soft spot for felons. Before joining the White House, he agitated against "the punishment industry," which he claims profits from a "racist war" against people of color. He has called U.S. prisons "slave ships on dry land" and has served on panels calling for an end to prisons and the freeing of all inmates.
The former Oakland, Calif., community organizer has said he wants to "build a pipeline from the prison economy to the green economy," including hiring parolees to weatherize homes and offices. He secured grants to start a Green Job Corps in Oakland.
In his 2006 memoir, President Obama proposed government-subsidized green jobs "to hire and train ex-felons on projects" such as "insulating homes and offices to make them energy-efficient." Labor Secretary Hilda Solis, who worked with Jones in California as a congresswoman, has already put such plans in motion.
Jones' "green jobs, not jails" program is but a "radical kernel" of what Jones says he wants to reap. He intends to use the green movement as a Trojan horse to socialize the entire economy.
"Right now we say we want to move from suicidal gray capitalism to 'eco-capitalism' where at least we're not fast-tracking the destruction of the whole planet," Jones said. "Will that be enough? No, it won't be enough. We want to go beyond the systems of exploitation and oppression altogether."
Beyond our system of capitalism to communism, is what he means.
Though Obama's father was a Marxist, there's no indication the president subscribes to Jones' vision.
But Obama and Jones share a common background in the same Marxism-steeped faith: Black Liberation Theology, which we first warned voters about years ago. The father of the movement — James Cone — believes that by merging Marxism with the Gospel, African-Americans will be liberated.
"Together," Cone said, "black religion and Marxist philosophy may show us a way to build a completely new society."
Cone mentored Obama's longtime preacher, the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, a big fan of Marxist regimes. Wright has made a number of comments over the years that have been described as anti-capitalist and anti-American, and that suggest he believes deep conspiracies drive American politics.
We also warned that it's dangerous for a presidential aspirant to surround himself throughout his career with a coterie of radicals. They could wind up in the White House making policy.
Van Jones is Exhibit A.

California Fire

Science is amazing. I caught a portion of a segment on the California fire watching, what else, FoxNews. A spokeswoman from the state fire department said that this blaze was started by persons unknown at approximately 3:10 pm on August 26, 2009. This also puts to rest the assertion from that moron of morons, Loretta Sanchez, (D-Rep) from Orange County California who told us it(the fire) was another example of global warming. How these people can get up in the morning and look in the mirror with a straight face is beyond the scope of respectability.

Barry On TV

So--------The President is going to address public school children, grades pre-school through sixth, next Tuesday. He's already backed out of an assignment for the kiddies. It had something to do with a questionnaire on how to help the President. Since I'm a twenty year veteran of the classroom I get to offer my take. It is, "who cares". I was primarily a secondary teacher, 15 years in parochial schools, but I did teach Phys. Ed. my first year to 1st graders. In addition, and I don't want to minimize this, I did help raise three children plus I get to observe a bunch of grandchildren. These children have an attention span of possibly two minutes. If Barry is going to be on TV for an hour they'll be asleep in five minutes or thinking about baseball, Barbie or candy. If they are influenced in any way it's because mom and dad have funneled garbage in their brains at home and they're lost causes already.
Ha-Ha! You actually believed what I wrote. I don't want Obama or any other government bureaucrat within 1 inch of my grandchildren or anyone else's child-----EVER!

AWOL

Where the heck is Joe Biden? Probably in the witness protection program and muzzled permanently.

Social (In)Security

Guess you all know by now that there will be no cost adjustment of living do to inflation in our Social Security. The government says we're on hold for two years. We're lucky since I'll still get a check for awhile. My children won't get any Social Security. It'll be gone. So much for that lock box Al Gore talked about. I might have mentioned this before but the government won't leave the kids, our offspring, high and dry. They'll be supplied with food stamps as a supplement. Of course, there is such a thing as the black market so money will get in the wrong hands for the wrong purposes. As is always the case when shenanigans take place, just follow the money. Follow Pelosi, Reid, Barney Frank and the biggest fraud of them all, Charley Rangel. For sure, they'll get theirs.
