Is It Okay To Tell A Lie

Did you know that George Washington once said as a lad, "I cannot tell a lie." I sort of think this tale about taking an applie just might be a fallacy to instill morals in children.

I've lied before but they were to cover my butt and they really didn't amount to much. As an example, I might have said that one of my children ate the last piece of chicken when it was mean. I mean, who wants your spouse to give you heck?

A few blogs ago I wrote about a friend in Tucson who told me he voted for Joe Biden because he follows the rule of law. This nonsensical statement gave me the opportunity to unload on him but I didn't.

This brings me to the subject of not just lying but of being a pathologican liar. Do you know who is a pathological liar? There are a great many in Washington D.C. but one of the biggest is a guy named Joe Biden. His list of lies dates back to his first days in congress and probably much earlier.

In order to understand what exactly a pathologica liar is please look at the definition fron Webster:

'A pathological liar is someone who lies compulsively and without any clear benefit. Lying refers to making a false statement to deceive others intentionally, often for some form of personal gain. Nonpathological lying is commonplace and not a sign of any disorder.'

The great thing about people and life is over time we tend to forget and forgive regardless of the outcome.

Why not take a few minutes and watch a video of Joe Biden doing what he does best----not only lying but lying to benefit himself beyond measure. https://youtu.be/h67O5dzr9rg
