The classic move, 'It's A Wonderful Life' was on television this past week. It's a feel good movie in the end. Jimmy Stewart is the main character but in the film shows his faults as a human being. One in the film who is a rock is his wife played by Donna Reed. She was doll on the screen. My eldest son had a crush on her for the longest time.
Anyway, I began recalling Ms. Reed's career and the TV show in which she starred in the 60's aptly titled The Donna Reed Show. In that thirty minute show she had a daughter played by on Shelley Fabares who became one of those heart throbs for most guys. As time moved on Fabares then played a TV newscaster in the very popular show titled 'Coach'.
The lady has sort of been out of the limelight lately. This happens when people become OLD so I did a little research. It's shocking to get old, isn't it, wrote the guy who is the same age as Gabby Hayes right before he went to his eternal reward.
1960's
Then we move to 'Coach' in the 1990's
And finally, the present day Ms. Fabares. God, sometimes, has a horrid sense of humor. Thank goodness we can close our eyes and enjoy memories.
