In American history there have been a number of what could be perceived as insurrections against our goverment. 1954 saw a group of Puerto Rico communists enter the House of Representatives and shoot with real bullets five members of our congress. Lucky for them Jimmy Carter was president because he pardoned them., In 1983 a bomb was detonated in the US Senate. Later on Bubba Clinton released the perps. One of them is today an executive for Black Lives Matter. https://www.newsweek.com/myth-january-6-opinion-1666417
The most egregious example of insurrection occurred in Washington D.C. in 2017. The Far Left protested the presidency of Donald Trump; the City burned, police were injured and the mainstream media enjoyed every minute of it. https://thepostmillennial.com/flashback-violent-riots-gripped-dc-during-trumps-2017-inauguration?utm_campaign=64487
And how can we forget the confirmation hearings for Justice Kavanaugh when looney tunes women led by Alyssa Milano stormed the Capitol and raised havoc against his confirmation.
