If you've been following this blog you know I'm a lover of baseball. It's such a pure game unless parents screw it up. Anyway, it's Little League World Series time and there was an incident, a positive one, in a game between teams from Texas and Oklahoma.
A Texas pitcher happened to make an errant pitch and it hit the batter in the head. It was an inadvertent throw and the batter went down hard and lay on the ground for some time before trotting to first base.
It was obvious the pitcher was distraught. The batter called time out then walked to the mound and put his arms around the pitcher and gave him a forgiving hug. It was touching. https://qctimes.com/sports/baseball/beaned-little-league-batter-consoles-pitcher-in-show-of-sportsmanship/article_897691c0-05f4-5f93-8bf2-ec20112b7465.html
