Being that I'm a former secondary teacher of young people of twenty years my radar perks up with I read about schools, especially those who have lost control of their students.
Brevard County Florida school district is the tenth largest in the state and they have some extreme problems. It seems, in the last two years, fifty teachers have bolted the classroom due to out of control students. I don't know about you but that large a number of disenchanted teachers------well, that could be a concern.
It seems students are physically attacking those who are charged with their education along with various other reasons. At a recent school board meeting concerned citizens and parents voiced their opinions as to how this situation came about. I'm no Einstein but when I read some parents thought a couple of reasons for their children's behavior was due to a lack of equity and diversity on the part of the school. As soon as I read this and cleaned my face from throwing up in my mouth it hit me.
