As a guy growing up in a community fifteen miles from Ames Iowa I know the city about as well as most. Ames High was in our athletic conference and I always wished I'd gone to that school until I was a junior and we kicked hell out of them in everything. Ames is a college town. It is the home to Iowa State University. That town is to me considered the perfect place but now not so much.
Yesterday two nine year old kids were at their lemonade stand. The children used their profits to donate to charity. Why is it adults always have to cobble things up? While the kids were at their stand a car pulled up next to their stand. A woman got out and stole their tip jar. I'm serious. Then she drove off.
Thank the Lord there are still good people in this world. The police, fire department and concerned citizens heard about the thievery and came enmasse to help out.
