Poor old Charlie held it in today until around 2 pm so we made a quick jaunt to the park due to his barking. I've learned to recognize that particular growl. If you're wondering it was a successful drop off.
Anyway, I started thinking about something the guys who took over for Rush said on the radio. They told us that Fauci is recommending three shots for the newest of the new, Omicron. Considering no one has died from the dreaded strain I thought this might be overkill, literally and figuratively.
It says much about a guy that millions of people hang on his every word. The highest paid federal employee at $400,000 a year has a track record not so good. Back in the 80's when he was a dapper forty year old he was tasked with the job of coming up with a cure for AIDS. Even then he insisted the virus was transmitted through the air. Such a fool, we came to find out.
Along this vein I was wondering, considering how many citizens believe he is the Second Coming what if he came out with this statement: "Our research shows us that the ingredients in a pepperoni pizza are contributing to the Omicron strain. However, it's okay to go ahead and eat a sausage pizza if you happen to be standing at least 6' away from your closest eater."
The Council Bluffs Cowboy told me he thought the number of pepperoni believers would run around 70%. I have to agree.
