When I was a kid I decided to have baseball player Henry Aaron be my hero. Every kid needs one. I'm sure the reason I picked The Hammer was because I had cousins in Milwaukee where he played and I got to see him play.
Kids need heroes, all kinds and varieties. I've written before, excluding Mr. Aaron, my favorite role model heroes were in no particular order my grandfather, my college baseball coach and the man who hired me in 1988 to work for him.
For some reason I believe baseball is THE game. People who like pro football would argue with me on this subject but I say 'screw 'em'. I writing this piece and they aren't.
A baseball game took place in Toronto last night between the Blue Jays and the New York Yankees. In the 7th inning Yankee Aaron Judge smashed a monstrous home run to the left field upper deck. A Blue Jay fan caught the ball. If you want to know what happened next watch the video. It's heart warming. https://twitter.com/i/status/1521654478843396096
