What is it with NBC and the people they employ? First, it was Brian Williams with his candid faux stories and now I find out Al Roker is also of dubious character. You see, the man who helped make a gastric bypass what it is today is not what he appears to be. Yesterday, in a variety of news sources, were stories how Roker decided our horrid winter was due to, what else, global warming. If Al said so it must be true. But, hold on folks.
A minimum amount of research reveals Mr. Al is not quite what he appears to be. He isn't a weather scientist. Nor is he a meteorologist. Nuff said.
Basically, Al Roker's background is this. He graduated from the State College of New York at Oswego with a B.A. in Communications. That's it. Big Al should have had the common courtesy to have a degree in B.S. It would have been more appropriate.
He has never taken one class in science. He's a weatherman. He reads from a sheet of paper the weather much the way I do when my wife asks me to tell her the conditions for the day. I'll jump on the computer and see what's scheduled for the future.
Isn't it sad when we lionize others when we could so easily do things for ourselves?
