Here's to a super big heartiest of congratulations to Oregon. This is bigger than the University of Oregon losing to Ohio State for the national collegiate football championship. It's much larger than eating a bowl of clam chowder at Monk's on the Pacific Coast.
The current governor has resigned, a victim of his fiancee's illegal financial shenanigans in the governor's mansion. Hey, aren't Democrats always victims even when they're crooks?
At any rate, the current Sec. of State, Kate Brown, will assume the position of governor. Most likely she'll also be assuming other positions since she'll be the first openly gay bisexual governor in the history of the United States.
