A Lot Of Nothing From Dublin Ohio

It's obvious. The only reason I write this blog is to get things off my chest. That's cheaper than going to a psychiatrist. Once in awhile I'll conjure up memories of my youth. Most of the time, when I'm quite lazy, I'll re-copy articles. I made a trip to Kansas and Oklahoma this past week. Nothing special happened but there were a couple of oddities worth repeating.

I flew Southwest from Columbus to St. Louis; had a layover then flew on to Kansas City. On the return trip it was the same scenario. Not one person on any of those flights wore a protective breathing mask. I did see two. They were both in Olathe, Kansas and were being worn by Orientals.

Here's a kick in the pants for the normal American. If you want to rent a car at Kansas City International airport the City has enacted a $25 per day tax on your car. Did I rent? No! I went on Priceline and got a car at $120 tax included for a week as opposed to $295(without the tax).

Have you ever had lunch with two people who have been your best friends for nearly sixty-five years? I did.

My buddy in Miami, Oklahoma outdid himself when preparing meals. On day 1 it was pheasant, wild rice and salad. On days 2 walleye and on day 3 elk steak. The guy's unbelievable.

There was an air incident a few weeks ago involving two passengers. A guy sitting behind a woman didn't like that her headrest was too far back so he kept pushing it forward, aggressively. End of story she ended up suing him. Both, I believe, were childish moves. I stated flying regularly in 1968. Not once have I come across rude passengers. I did sit next to a crying baby one time. I put toilet paper in my ears.

Once good aspect of the Coronavirus is the Democrats have ceased talking about keeping the border open.

To date six Americans, all from the state of Washington have died from this disease. To date 50 folks from Baltimore have been shot to death since January 1. There will be 16,000 Americans who die of the regular old flu this year.

I get to see my grandchildren about three times a year. It's scary to see how they've grown each time this happens.

I came down with a sickness two and a half weeks ago. It's still hanging in there. If it stays any longer I'll consider it normal. Just think how good I'll feel when it goes away.

Moving back to the Midwest is one of my goals. The trouble is the worst aspect of moving is the actual move. Therefore, it looks like Dublin, Ohio is going to be our permanent home. It's time to start checking out cemetery plots.

The youngest of the male candidates running for president from the Democrat Party is 77. I find it odd that the party screaming so much about #MeToo are nominating dudes who have a history of treating women horribly.

The best part of getting back from my trip; seeing The Queen and having Charlie jump on me when I got in the car at the airport. I sat in the front seat on the way home so Charlie and I could hug and snuggle.
