It's That Time Of Year

Mark Twain is credited with the saying, "Everybody talks about the weather but nobody does anything about it." There is a question as if this saying can be attributed to Twain. Most likely it came from a friend of his, Charles Warner, who was a friend and of his and an editor with the Hartford Courant. The reason I bring this up is people, mostly politicians, are always bloviating about this and that and what should be done and nothing ever happens.

Of course, on this November 6 I'm referring to daylight saving time or lack thereof. I'll go out on a limb and say the great percentage of people believe as I that it is horrid. There are two states in this country who don't change their clocks. Why can't we add 48 more onto this list?

The idea of screwing with clocks came about when we were an agrarian society so that farmers could get in the fields but you knew this.

There has to be a solid reason why state politicians don't exercise the will of the people. I suppose it has to do with money but what do I know. I'm only a taxpaying citizen.
