Television has changed a great deal since the 60's. Why write this. You already knew it. In early part of the decade the most popular show on television by a long way was---------are you thinking? Wait for it----it was the Beverly Hillbillies. Today it would rank up there with My Mother The Car but culture doesn't always progress, does it.
Take at look see at this picture:
The fella in the upper right hand corner is Max Baer, Jr. He's still breathing at the age of 101. Now peek at Granny. When this photo was taken she was around 60 years young. Are you ready for this? The photo of Granny you will soon be ogling over(if you're a straight guy) was taken in 1920. Her given name was Irene Ryan.
Unless I'm insane she was one hot babe. Old age is a pain, really. Charlie and I were walking behind our condo on Saturday. I was wearing a sport coat, tie and nice shoes. There was a group of kids in the gazebo near a pond. It was prom night. I stopped to look and a fella, around age 45, started talking to me and he told me how good I looked for my age. "And exactly what is my age," I asked; thinking he'd say about 60-65. He came back with, "Oh, I'd say about 80" It was then I put my hand in my pocket and told him I had a present for him. I pulled out my hand and gave him the finger-------and I felt better.
