In my 76 years I've learned a good deal about myself; the good and the not so good. I know my strengths and my weaknesses. It's one thing to know and it's quite another to accept these.
Sensitivity is in my genes and it's been this way from my earliest memories. The truth is it doesn't make much for me to cry. Oh, I'm not talking tears when one of my favorite teams got beat in a sporting event. I didn't even cry when we lost in the boys state basketball tournament in 1963 and the reason for this loss was assuredly on my shoulders. I usually shed tears when I witness an injustice to one of God's creations. For example, somewhere around 1992 I was driving from Westerville, Ohio, our home, to Charleston West Virginia on my way to see a client. Approximately thirty miles east of Gallipolis, Ohio on a back road of WV I was tooling along and saw two bloodhound puppies run across the road. While mentally congratulating myself on the near miss I heard a 'thump' and pulled over to the side of the highway. Sadly, there was a third puppy slightly behind the others, and I hit him with such force that it was no more. I sat there looking at the lifeless body and started crying but that's the way I am.
A couple days ago I posted a story from The Gateway Pundit. I copied and pasted it. Today, I gave the story much more thought and I actually sat in my car with tears in my eyes.
I'm referring to a 69 year old lady from Idaho named Pamela Hemphill. Pam's mistake in life was to enter the Capitol building on January 6. There are videos of her walking through the 'people's house' taking videos on her cell phone.
As of last Tuesday Mrs. Hemphill is in jail for sixty days for trespassing. As a side note this grandmother is a former addict and alcoholic who turned her life around 42 years ago and has been in the business of saving the lives of thousands of human beings who suffered her addictions. She has dedicated her life to make humanity better. For me, the even sadder part is she was turned into the government by members of her own family. Christmas dinner this year should be fun, huh?
So, as I was thinking about her plight I considered the thousands of Black Lives Matter and Antifa members who have and still are wreaking physical and mental pain on our nation. They have destroyed billions of dollars in property. They have injured physically the police. They have started riots causing the deaths of people; once living, breathing, productive people. And how many of these hundreds of thousands of communist thugs have spent on day in prison? Why not look up the records in Seattle and Portland and tell my about how the justice system worked for these thugs. Don't bother. I'll tell you. There have been two, count 'em two, individuals who are behind bars. The rest had all charges dropped against them. I'm sure you read the story of the man in NYC who was being attacked by a felon in his own store. He defended himself with a box cutter and the assailant is dead. And what happened? The gentlemen, and elderly man, was arrested for murder----in his store------by a guy attacking him!
Dorothy Hemphill, a lady who is suffering from cancer is seen as a destructive force worthy of jail time thanks to our leaders like Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, Liz Cheney and the pussy boy, Adam Kinzinger. Think of the cost of sending Hemphill to prison in California away from her Idaho home.
For me one of the tragedies of this entire BS January 6 debacle is there are actual criminals walking the streets who will never see incarceration. There's a guy who is the son of the so-called president of the United States who is responsible for a hand gun being discarded in a waste can across the street from a public school but our FBI hasn't gotten on that bit of chicanery even though his actions are a federal offense. They also haven't pursued actual visual movies of said kid aiding and abetting prostitution by bringing women not only across state lines but from the country of Russia to ply their wares. There is a guy in the Oval Office who admittedly offered one million barrels of petroleum to a Russian company that is a business partner of the lad written about in the paragraph above.
And yet, there is Dorothy Hemphill, an honorable and productive cancer patient who will be jailed for taking pictures in the United States Capitol Building. This is all so sad to me. It saddens me so I may cry again.
I love my country. I fear my government.
