Considering I've been on this earth going onto 77 years I've had the sometimes privilege of running into what could be called characters. They're harmless when they speak their tales but they can't be taken seriously. For example, let's say I was talking with a high school crony about college football and he told me he started for his Big 10 school and even scored the winning touchdown against their hated rival. And then, come to find out, not only did he not score the winning TD he wasn't even on the team, I've known guys like this.
Since I'm nowhere close to be a brain expert and how it functions I can only speculate on the why's and wherefore's of the statements of these people.
Of course, I'm referring to Joe Biden and some of his remarks while in Vail, Colorado yesterday. His first remark, and I'm guessing he was trying to relate to the local citizenry, was that he brought his family to the community of the rich and famous many years ago and taught them how to ski. He may or may not have done this. Who knows but given his background for embellishment of stories I wonder. And the thing of it is these stories, or fabrications, really don't hurt anyone-----in most cases which I'll refer to later.
After Joe told the people about his ski lessons, and I'm not certain of the context, he went on to say his son, Beau, died in Iraq. Say what? Son Beau died from brain cancer in a hospital in Bethesda, Maryland at the age of 46 and I'm almost certain the Maryland is a far cry from the sands of Baghdad.
Biden decided he had the moxy to run for president in 1988. He was in a small crowd of people and someone challenged his brain power. Right away Joe went on the defense and told the crowd he graduated college with three degrees then went on to law school and graduated #1 in his class. Folks, he was at the bottom of his law group. At this time his campaign was dead. https://www.motherjones.com/politics/2019/05/that-time-joe-biden-lied-about-his-academic-credentials/
I had mentioned earlier Biden's fantasies really didn't hurt anyone. Well, there was this time when his wife and daughter died in a car wreck brought on because his first wife caused it. But Joe went on to tell whomever would listen that "I heard the man driving the other car caused the accident because he had drank his lunch". It was an obvious deflection and he kept on telling this tale much to the consternation of the other family who for years has asked him for an apology they'll never get.
Biden has told audiences he was an over the road trucker, a fisherman in Alaska. And he states these obvious lies in an off the cuff manner.
He has continued to tell whoever would listen that his Delaware home was once struck by lightening and it pretty much destroyed all three floors. That's a lie, It did minor damage in the kitchen and took twenty minutes to douse. And then yesterday he added more to this fabrication. He stated, "I was told a couple firemen almost lost their lives in fighting it." That's the first time we've heard that one. My question is, who told him this? Doesn't he realize these utterances can be fact checked by even people such as me? https://www.westernjournal.com/biden-now-says-firefighters-almost-died-house-2004-ap-described-fire/?utm_source=site&utm_medium=aggregator10&utm_campaign=can
Last night I watched a video from the Guy Benson Show in regard to his lies. The question is, why does he do this ALL-THE-TIME? The guy is a chronic liar.
When he did this as senator his supporters could say as they did, "Well, that's just Joe being Joe" but when you occupy the Oval Office, the most powerful person in the world has to be held accountable for his babbling. It's possible our adversaries might not take us seriously. You get my drift, right?
The founder of our circus system, the Honorable P.T. Barnum once said, "There's a sucker born every minute." Would you care to guess how many suckers pushed the the button in the voting booth for a guy who would try and tell you Armageddon is right around the corner or that he rode on a train with the same railroad conductor for years and years when it just wasn't true? https://nypost.com/2021/11/22/bidens-obsessive-lies-small-and-large-are-big-trouble-for-america/
