It's been a couple of weeks since the disastrous fire(s) on Maui. It's strange how when there's a disaster people tend to forget quickly and move on to other areas of interest. In the aftermath of this debacle we quickly found out the tragedy could have been greatly lessened with the loss of life had not Hawaiian officials decided there needed to be 'water equity'. By that I mean water was held back from the people.
But, we've already forgotten about this disaster in the same way the government has moved on from the folks in East Palestine, Ohio. What a shame.
