Basketball In Its Purest Form

I've enjoyed a couple of careers in my life. One was as an on the road salesman and I can honestly say I loved my boss and I loved the company. I drove 75,000 miles a year for twenty years and my best friend was a comfortable and economically priced hotel.

Prior to the sales position I coached high school boys basketball, also for twenty years. Never in my life did I believe I'd become enamored with girls aka women's basketball but like millions of others these days I'm smitten with the talents of Caitlin Clark from the University of Iowa. Never heard of her? Well, if you enjoy a talent never seen on the hardwood and crave basketball the way the inventor of the game, Dr. James Naismith intended, then give Clark a look see. She'll be playing on the Big Ten Network this coming Saturday at 7 pm EST. When I write 'basketball in it's purest form' I'm saying its a game played below the rim. There are no slam dunk shots. That isn't talent. What Clark does is pass the ball with magical precision. She'll shoot 25 foot jump shots and sometimes from the logo. She is the first person to accumulate 3,000 points, 750 assists and 750 rebounds.

Due to her talent every home game in Iowa City is a sellout. Last Saturday the team played in Madison Wisconsin and the game was a sellout and this has happened only one other time in Madison. I was hoping to watch her perform in Columbus this upcoming January but just like last year the game is a sellout. Normally, a tic to this game would cost $20. This year, in Columbus, if you were fortunate enough to purchase a ticket you'd have to fork over $240. And it's all due to the skills of one person.

Give her a look this upcoming Saturday. It'll be worth your time--------------if you enjoy basketball the way Dr. Naismith intended.
