Elections Must Be Coming Up

Depending on where you live you might have noticed the price of the fuel at the pump is down to a more acceptable number. In Central Ohio we're looking at places as low as $2.65 per gallon. It won't last but there must be a reason for it. My suspicion is the upcoming elections have a great deal to do with it..

One of my economic sites presents their take: Cheaper oil is the short answer: Prices have been falling on lower demand from China and the US, coupled with more supply from increased stateside production. Enhanced extraction methods are helping the US pump a near record number of barrels. Plus, the Biden Administration has expanded drilling permits, which could further boost American oil.

Not to worry, though, after the primaries we'll see a rise in prices.
