It'll 1968 All Over Again

It's coming up on 55 years since I cast my first presidential vote. I was a young high school teacher residing in Cedar Falls, Iowa and was excited to fill out my absentee ballot. In thinking back to that night while sitting in front of a television I put pen to paper and voted for a member of a political party I have only done one other time in my life. I voted Democrat. Yes, I marked an X for Hubert Humphrey. The reason for my vote? Well, I came from a union family and my parents always voted the party of FDR. The second reason for selecting Humphrey? It's because I was like most voters. I was ignorantly stupid. I, as with most, didn't study the issues. I went with my gut---------I think. What I do vividly recall about that election cycle were the many riots brought on by radical groups in protest of the Viet Nam conflict aka war. Specifically, there was a rebellious faction of youngsters called the Weatherman. Even then some of these communists protesters, William Ayers, Bernadine Dohrn gained fame at such a young age. Of course, they went on to become college prof's as did many others of their ilk and dear friends of Barack Hussein Obama.

These kids attended the Democrat National Convention and the riots and protests to this day stick in my mind. Of course, the Chicago police came down hard on them. It seems to me 1968 was the beginning of the 'I Hate America' philosophy still with us today.

This morning I opened one of my reading blogs and noticed the Democrats are holding their presidential nominating convention next year in, where else--------Chicago, Illinois. The haters are going to hate and there's little doubt Chi'town will not be exempt from mayhem. I'm going to love watching every second of the hatred for this once great nation as we witness the events unfold from the scum on the Left. I wonder if the police will have the honor of cracking heads. https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2023/12/if-you-think-youre-going-have-peaceful-democratic/
