Setting The Tone For '24

It's common knowledge that prior to a federal election each party has to come up with a winning slogan. Off the top of my head I think it was Nixon's people who constantly spewed the phrase, 'Bring Us Together'. Each and every day we'd hear the same old same old.

In today's climate we're also being bombarded with other brainwashing words. From the Democrats it's words to the effect that if Trump is elected 'We will have a dictatorship and democracy will be destroyed'. Personally, in reviewing the last three years it's my contention we do have a dictatorship. All one has to do is look at what our justice department is doing to those on the right; arresting parents who speak out at school board meetings, bringing charges against those who silently protest in front of abortion centers and determining that those who practice traditional Catholicism are domestic terrorists.

Anyway, I read a story this morning regarding the thinking of college students in regard to a dictatorship. I'm 100% certain the story was meant to propagandize the issue but it stated these kids are preparing for a civil war; that they expect one to happen. And this what bothers me as I think back to what the German Minister of Information, Joseph Goebbels said, "The bigger the lie the more the people will believe," or words to that effect.
