Mexico's ongoing rash of violence claimed the life of another innocent person, this time a journalist who was assassinated after he had just finished an assignment in Acapulco
Gabriel Soriano, 42, was returning from the site where Hector Astudillo Flores, governor of the state of Guerrero, had delivered a speech at a conference Wednesday evening when the journalist was intercepted by gunmen and shot dead.
Soriano was a radio show host who also served as an engineer and producer with the Guerrero Radio and Television System, where he worked for 20 years.
The radio talkie is the 11th journalist assassinated in 2018 alone.
