I don't know if it's because we live in Central Ohio where big snows are minimal or the climate change factor has kicked in but it doesn't seem like we get the snows like we did forty years ago.
In 1978 we lived in Davenport Iowa but due to circumstances I commuted four hours away to a teaching job in Mukwonago, Wisconsin. We do silly things when were younger trying to feed a family.
I drove home from Wisconsin through this snowstorm and lived to tell about it. In order to get to Iowa it was necessary for me to travel a portion of I-94 in Illinois from Beloit down to Rockford. Driving, or I should say, crawling I could had the vision of nothing and decided I'd pull off the interstate and park on the berm. Well, if I could find the berm. I stopped my car and using my hand slid it along the front end of my car. It was at the end of the engine hood my hand hit a vertical piece of something. I then push my hand upward until it hit me. I'd parked partially underneath the trailer of a semi-truck. And that's the God's truth.
