It isn't like today, November 8, is a day that will live in infamy. For me it has meaning. It was 54 years ago that I cast my first vote in a federal election and I've continued to do so each and every voting period------and I've cast my ballot in the voting booth on that day, period.
Charlie and I were out for his morning constitutional and I was thinking about voting all that jazz and what it means for this country. Life will go on regardless of my vote-------or yours. We may not like things the way they are but not a whole lot can be done because politicians are involved. People will continue to complain but there won't be big changes. They tell you life will be better but at one time my parents told me there was a Santa Claus.
If you vote today and want it to count I'm asking you to do three things and do them before you cast the ballot; (1) Look at you 401K, (2) Go grocery shopping and (3) while driving to the ballot box stop and fill your gas tank. Then ask yourself these questions: Is the world better off today than it was two years ago? Is this country better off today than it was two years ago? Are you personally better off today than you were two years ago?
