If We Had Only Known
Some of you may be asking, "What does Woodrow Wilson have to do with anything?" Well, if you detest racism and forcing the United States to get involved in a worthless World War with millions dying might understand.
Wilson was your typical Democrat: a blatant racist and a war mongering thug.
It's Shocking!-------------------------------Not!
The pre-print for this study, prior to the peer review process, came out late last year. It showed, in a nutshell, that more COVID-19 shots correlated to a greater risk of contracting COVID-19. https://pjmedia.com/news-and-politics/benbartee/2023/05/30/peer-reviewed-study-the-higher-the-number-of-vaccines-previously-received-the-higher-the-risk-of-contracting-covid-19-n1699197
Aging Isn't Pretty
So, here we are a few days past Memorial Day and a tradition continues in Dublin Ohio that began in 1976. Directly across the street from our condo Jack Nicklaus' tourney begins this Thursday. It's one of the 'biggies' on the PGA tournament trail but not what 'Fat Jack' anticipated. I got this bit of information from two of my neighbor friends now deceased. They told me Jack was hoping his event would eventually be on par with that of the U.S. Open. It didn't and will never happen. Since both gentlemen were close friends of Nicklaus who am I to doubt their honesty?
In its early days of the tournament celebrities galore came to the tournament and roamed the grounds. It's not that way anymore. For Her Majesty and me the thrill is also gone. I figure 'that's the way it goes' because we're now in our mid to late 70's. When we moved here we were age 62. What I had back then as compared to today is energy. That commodity is now on the train to Never Never Land. For the past two days I've walked across the street to the main entrance to the tourney. Getting tickets is not a problem. My new neighbor is a Murifield member. He passes out freebies they way I give candy bars to little kids on Halloween.
Yesterday, as I walked toward the 18th green I asked myself, "Why am I here" since I didn't recognize one single person. I keep looking for Arnie Palmer or Gary Player. I look for someone I recognize but it seems today these young golfers all have the names of John Smith or Bill Jones. In other words, I don't have a clue as to who these young kids are or from where they come. Some of the golfing pro's were on the putting green doing their schtick. I paused to look for a moment then moved on and the reason for this is I didn't recognize any golfers either. It was then I decided to move to the grandstand seats overlooking the driving range. Watching good golfers hit range balls intrigues me as I ask myself, "Why can't I hit a ball the way these guys do?"
After a half hour I left for home. As I stood next to the bottom of the grandstand stairs professional golfer, Rory McElroy, was standing next to me. Would you care to guess the extent of our conversation? If you respond with a 'no' then you'd win because there wasn't one. I didn't say 'hi'. I didn't nod. I did nothing. And why do you suppose this was my response? I think I know. It's because he's a regular guy with a job just like millions of others and I'm not gaga over celebrities.
As I was leaving for my walk home I wondered why I came over in the first place. In the old days if I wasn't admiring golfers I could at least look at good looking women. I didn't see many of those, either. Maybe if I come back when the actual competition begins there'll be a slew of hotties walking around. My guess is I won't see any of these babes since the match is on television and I won't want to walk the 200 yards to the front gate. Besides, Her Majesty will be in the condo and at my age she looks good to me and watching on TV means I'll be within crawling distance of our biffy.
Let the games begin. If you watch the event on television our condo is invariably scanned by cameras. You can call your friends and tell them, "Hey, I know a guy who lives there"------------or not.
The Deep State? And Now You Know
Former FBI Director James Comey said Tuesday on CNN’s “Anderson Cooper 360” that former President Donald Trump was an “existential threat” to the country. He also called the Republican Party a cult. https://www.breitbart.com/clips/2023/05/30/comey-trump-is-existential-threat-gop-is-a-cult-that-needs-to-lose-in-2024/

The Animals Run The Zoo
The unmistakable lesson is that crime, or something very much like crime, paid handsomely in their cases.
If they weren’t above the law, they were certainly beyond its reach.
So we must believe that House Speaker Kevin McCarthy was speaking hopefully, not literally, when he told Fox Tuesday morning that unless FBI Director Christopher Wray turns over a document alleging Joe Biden sold his office as part of a $5 million bribery scheme when he was vice president, Congress will move to hold him in contempt.
“I personally called Director Wray and told him he needs to send that document,” McCarthy said.
“We have jurisdiction over this . . . And if he does not follow through with the law, we will move contempt charges against Christopher Wray and the FBI. They are not above the law.”
To which Wray effectively replied, go ahead, make my day, with the FBI later refusing to give up the document. https://nypost.com/2023/05/30/biden-family-under-the-protection-of-the-nations-top-lawmen/

Had Enough
I know I'm chewing my cabbage twice on this post but it's worth repeating. I used to have a friend who is a hardcore liberal Democrat. I first met him when I was teaching at Mukwonago high school in Wisconsin in 1977 except at the time I didn't realize he was politically stupid. The reason for this is because at the time in my life I was more concerned with putting food on the table for my family as opposed to realizing how Democrats are destroying this country. Besides, a 1977 Democrat is somewhat worse than one in 2023.
Anyway, the guy left teaching for a sales job and eventually retired to a golf community slightly south of Tucson Arizona. Over the years we've had contact. When I retired 15 years ago I flew out to see him for a golf week-end. Since then his Democrat philosophy has become supercharged. He's hardcore and this greatly surprises me because in the last two years his property has been overrun with illegals. Yet, he still loves everything about Democrats, Joe Biden included. Folks, we don't communicate much anymore. The last contact I had with him was via an email when he let me know that with Biden being declared the victor over Trump at least we'd have a president who followed the rule of law. Need I write more?
"Hold My Bud Lite"
Corporate America has done it again with the pride clothing gambit. This time it's Kohl's department stores who have jumped into the "how stupid can I be" arena.
Let's see, as of now and from what I know trannie clothes are being sold at Target, North Face and Addidas. Kohl's is even marketing clothing for three month old babies. I wonder what those who buy these items do for a living.
I am pleased to announce some younger people are fighting back. At a high school in Oregon some of the boys vandalized a tampon dispenser that had been installed in their bathrooms.
Celebrating Memorial Day
I recall seeing and reading about religious folks in the Phllippines honoring Jesus during Holy Week by having themselves literally crucified to a cross. Did you know there are Americans who celebrate other holidays. Yes, the fine citizens of Chicago also honor our dead. During the Memorial Day weekend 53 souls, good and honest hardworking citizens but mostly thugs, murderers and other degenerates, recreated the Battles of Iwo Jima and The Bulge. They were shot! Of these 12 are dead. One thing we know about citizens of 'The City of Big Shoulders': They aren't very good shots with only nine dying. George Patton would be upset.
I wonder how the media would present this carnage had it taken place in a white community. Need I ask?

How Can Businesses Be So Damn Dumb
Kohl's has become the latest retailer to receive backlash for catering to the 'woke crowd' after shoppers slammed their LGBTQ+ apparel for infants.
The onesies with the LGBTQ+ pride flag on them, specifically tailored to June, which is known internationally as Pride Month, have even sparked calls for a store boycott. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-12135213/Outrage-grows-Kohls-stores-offer-LGBTQ-clothing-babies.html
Dogs Are Like People
It's Day 2 with our new rescue. I have to be honest when I tell you I haven't fully committed to permanent adoption. The both of us, she and we, are trying to decide if this is going to be permanent.
Her given name was Cookie. I originally decided to call her Charlotte or Char for short. The name of Cookie makes her sound like a bimbo or so I thought. I was talking to The Queen about dogs and how I don't like the purebreds. I told her cookie cutter breeds don't do it for me so she said, "Why not name her Cutter?" So, that'll be it----------if we decide to keep her.
One of my personal problems in dealing with this pooch is I compare what she does or doesn't do with the actions of our Charlie. This isn't right. Children are different. Dogs are different. What I can tell you right now is Cutter isn't nearly as intelligent as was Charlie. When we got our little guy a few years ago I put a stair step next to the bed so he could easily get up and down. It took him seconds to figure it out. Cutter is still working on it. It took nine seconds for Charlie to figure out how to go up and down the stairs. For Cutter it was a day and a half. That's okay, though. Some people learn arithmetic in five minutes. I'm still working on it.
I emailed a dear friend in North Carolina last night about our new found friend and I came to the conclusion I'm being too hard on Cutter. She's listless, sleeps a great deal. She doesn't look me in the eye. Her head is pointed toward the floor. In other words, she seems sad. Then it hit me. This pooch was found by the Portsmouth Ohio police around the age of six weeks behind their department. This was five years ago. Almost immediately she was adopted by two elderly people. Three weeks ago the last of these two passed away and 'Cutter' was placed in a shelter inside a cage. A rescue company out of Columbus heard about her and sent me a photo with minimal background. Sometimes, I'm slow on the uptick but I began thinking, "What if this was me?" How happy would I be?
I've read quite a bit about dog in the past few years and one thing I learned is that dogs grieve for their owners. Dogs, like people, get depressed. Our Cutter has known only two people in its entire life and all of a sudden its been thrust into a new home with new people. My suspicion is Cutter is still going through the grieving process. She's trying to figure out what happens next. She's in a new home with new sounds and new experiences. I need to cut her some slack.
Today, while walking her, I noticed her gate was somewhat quicker. When she saw Her Majesty this morning she jumped up on her hind legs; tail wagging. The Queen fed her breakfast and just like Charlie she ran back upstairs and jumped in bed with me after her meal was finished. I only have one concern at this time. Cutter is fat. Her weight should be around 20 to 25 pounds. She's closer to 36 pounds but I'm assuming her elderly owners didn't get her out much for exercise.
I'd have to say at this point Cutter will remain with us but I haven't come to that conclusion 100%. What would solidify it is if when I woke up tomorrow morning she was looking at me with those puppy dog eyes holding a sign reading: 'Won't you love me'? Yep! That'd do it.
Sometimes You Have To Laugh
USA Today started out as a fairly reputable middle of the road newspaper. The words 'started out' have been changed to '100% liberal'. This rag employs one particular female sportswriter named Nancy Armour who is on a rant about transsexuals. She wants all cheerleaders to be banned because they're degrading to women. I am so upset with Major League Baseball and the Los Angeles Dodgers especially I want to throw up every time either of these two organizations are mentioned.
The attack on Catholics by these heathens is galling. The greatest Dodgers of all time, Tommy Lasorda and announcer Vin Scully have to be literally rolling in their graves. Both were Roman Catholics. Vin Scully, the long time Dodger radio announcer and Hall of Fame broadcaster practiced his faith akin to someone like Mother Teresa. It's a sad commentary on today's society; godless freaks bringing the wrath of God onto the people--------I hope and pray. https://nypost.com/2023/05/27/cant-dodge-woke-another-mlb-error/

Black Lives Matter’s national organization doled out just over $30 million — 33% of the nearly $90 million it received in public donations from 2020 to 2022 — to charitable foundations, public filings show.
Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation, an Oakland, California-based non-profit, gave away the $30,498,722 in grants to black, trans and anti-police non-profits in the fiscal years for 2020 and 2021, according to two federal filings which cover the periods from July 1 2020 to June 30, 2022. https://nypost.com/2023/05/27/only-33-of-blms-90m-in-donations-helped-charity-foundations/
It Always The Orientals
A 12-year-old boy who wanted a challenge graduated from a California college last week, where he was presented with a historic five degrees.
The pre-teen, Clovis Hung, is the youngest person to graduate from Fullerton College, the university said.
Hung started attending the school in Fall 2020, when he was just 9 years old and his mother had pulled him out of traditional public school claiming her son was highly self-motivated and goal-oriented. https://nypost.com/2023/05/28/california-boy-clovis-hung-graduates-from-fullerton-college-with-5-degrees/
And then there's this: A high school in Texas postponed its graduation after the vast majority of the class failed to earn their diplomas.
Just five of the 33 senior students at Marlin High School near Waco, Tex., met the requirements for commencement, with grades or attendance issues dooming most students.
The school said it planned to reschedule the graduation for sometime in June so students would have more time to qualify. https://nypost.com/2023/05/27/texas-marlin-high-school-postpones-graduation-after-85-of-class-fails-to-earn-diploma/

Why Do People Steal
I've never been one to steal. I don't believe in taking property belonging to others. Maybe it's because I grew up in a Catholic school and if I'm not mistaken one of the Ten Commandments given by God to Moses was, 'Thou Shalt Not Steal'. For my entire life I've followed that law. Oh, don't get me wrong. It's not that I'm perfect. I remember as a six year old I wanted to buy a couple packs of baseball cards from Shafer's Grocery Story and I didn't have any money. My grandmother, who lived with us, had a coin purse on a shelf in our kitchen. One day I took a dime out of it. It's not that big of a deal but, then again, in my mind it must be so because that bit of thievery was seventy-two years ago and I still feel guilty.
I'm not an expert on stealing. There must be a variety of reasons as to why. Okay, if you have no food in your house with three kids to feed and your husbands hit the bricks--well, this could be a reason. I've recently read it's okay for some to loot and rob stores because white people have practiced racism over the years and this kind of stealing is a justifiable payback. I could go on and on and on with reasons as to why it's right and proper to take from others but you get the drift.
Today, May 27 I am personally hurt because I had an item stolen from me I've held onto since 1984. It was a gift from my then boss to me and I treasure it for its historical value and because my boss, the man whom I respected more than any in the world, gave it to me.
My boss was an inventor. He came up with thirty-six different patents in his life to make society better for all people. Most of his inventions dealt with the industrial world. His products saved businesses millions up millions of dollars. I always told him he was to the industrial world what Steve Jobs was to computers. He liked that..
One of his creations was a special type of golf club that became a staple in that field. In the early 1980's my boss, the great and wonderful David C. Orlowski, invented the very first titanium golf club. It preceded every other golf club of that type put out by the big time manufacturers. My boss was a traditionalist. His club was made with a persimmon head and had a titanium insert. When he retired he sold that part of the business to Louisville Golf Comp.
In my man cave I have a number of unique, valuable and rare bits of golf memorabilia. One of these items was that special titanium golf club.
I love hitting golf balls at driving ranges. I've hit thousands upon thousands of buckets of balls at ranges all over the country. One of my favorite places to do this is at a driving range in Westerville Ohio which is located in that suburb on the north side of Columbus. I live in Dublin, a twenty minute drive from that special place. I visit this range four times weekly and while there commune with ten or fifteen fellas. We hit balls and chit chat about the events of the day. It's an enjoyable outlet for all of us.
Last week I was telling the fellas about my special club and promised I'd bring it in to show them and I did. Last Thursday I passed it around and told them the story of its history. I then put it back in my golf bag.
I'm one trusting soul. I'm not one to think the worst of others unless, of course, I happen to be walking downtown some city where I could get mugged or worse. When I go to a golf course or driving range I do not expect to see a George Floyd type person hitting golf balls on the mat next to me. Golfers, for me, are a different breed of cat. I truly believe the 'Gentlemen's game' is just that. On the course I've seen people lie about their scores but these phonies are few and far between.
Last Thursday I took my very special driver to show the guys. When I was finished talking about it I put it back in my bag. I'm at the range for two hours or so. During that time I'll walk inside the clubhouse to get a cup of coffee or I'll hit the head. Thievery never crosses my mind. Call naive but I'm just this way.
When I got home I noticed my King Cobra #6 hybrid was missing. I kicked myself figuring I'd put it down someplace and not in my bag. My fault, right? I went back to the range and it had not been turned in so I chalked my loss up to my irresponsibility. As I drove into my garage upon returning home I saw my neighbor. He's a golfer and I told him about the titanium club. I pulled my bag out of the truck of my car and guess what? The special driver was not in the bag. I specifically remember putting that club in the bag after I'd shown it around. I didn't even take a swing with it.
As for the lost 6 hybrid I took the blame on that one but when my collector's item was missing I realized it had been stolen. I'm angry and I'm hurt because golfers are not supposed to do these things.
So, I'm trying to analyze what the thief did and why and I can't come up with a good scenario. They surely can't play the game with it because it isn't the type of club anyone today would use. Will they display it in their home and if they do will their conscience bother them every time they look at it or show it off? Will they try and sell it? I doubt it would garner them much cash.
The finality of it is I am really hurt and not because of the loss of the club but because people have destroyed my confidence in our honesty and integrity as a people. Whoever stole this stole a memory and that bothers me.
So, I ask you again. Why do people steal?
This Is THE Biden Administration
What Would Our Grandparent's Say?
I stared at this poster incredulously and wondered long and hard about it. Seriously, what has happened to our society that this poster is even on display?
Last week, in California of course, the state high school regional track championships took place. In two events guys posing as girls qualified for the state finals. This means two other girls, those with breasts and vaginas lost out on the thrill of a lifetime.
Yesterday, the two fake guys did not show up for the state finals which means two young ladies were left out of the mix. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-12130601/Riley-Gaines-calls-trans-runners-no-showed-high-school-race-pushing-girls.html
Stupid People
With Budweiser's sales in the toilet and Target losing $9 billion dollars in one week because of their pride stances one would think businesses would learn----but they haven't.
North Face came out with an ad promoting drag shows for kids. Folks, I'm now convinced that God has a plan. I may not like it but He does have a plan.
Good News Story Of The Day
An Arizona man heroically rescued two young girls from the back of a burning vehicle on the side of a highway moments before it exploded.
Sam Heiler, 30, told Fox News that he was traveling to a Memorial Day Weekend destination with his wife on a remote highway in Navajo County when the engine in the car ahead of them caught fire.
Both cars pulled over and Heiler said the parents of the two toddlers jumped out of the front seat. But when they closed their doors behind them, the car instantly locked and they were unable to get the children out of the back seat. https://nypost.com/2023/05/26/arizona-man-pulls-two-toddlers-from-burning-car-seconds-before-it-explodes/

Wish Us Luck, Please
Losing a beloved pet, a best friend, has been much more of an ordeal than I anticipated but who in their right mind anticipates the trauma death?
If you follow this blog you know we lost our beautiful Charlie last February 8 in a freak accident. Folks, the mental suffering I've put myself through because I lost track of my buddy for five seconds has been anguishing. It's when I get down in the dumps that I have to stop and refocus. For example, one of my best friends wife is in the hospital------again. They live in Wisconsin and the lady has been in and out of hospitals for a couple years on a regular basis. There appears to be no cure in sight yet every once in awhile when we're communicating I'll bring up Charlie and I stop and catch myself then say, in my mind, "STFU." There are others in the world who have lost and are losing much more than a dog.
For the past two months and on a daily basis I check the dog adoption sites in and around Columbus. Lord knows there are a slug of man's best friends available. At the Franklin County Ohio Humane Society by itself you can find pictures of 700 dogs with a sign under their photo reading, 'Adopt Me'. The sites I pick most often are the ones offering rescue dogs and four days ago I found one showing a photo of this young lady.
Her given name is 'Cookie' and she hails from Portsmouth, Ohio which is two hours due south of Columbus on the Ohio River across from Kentucky. She isn't beautiful with the pedigree of Lassie or Rin-Tin-Tin. She isn't what I'd call adorable. But, when I look into her eyes I see a mental message of her saying to me, "Take me home." I don't know a whole lot about her except that she's five years old, weighs 20 lbs. and comes from a home where her owner has been forced into assisted living. I'm assuming her home was a loving one and that with the loss of the only owner she's ever known she's lonely for love and attention. It would be my job to make her life joyful again.
I'm supposed to meet today with the head of the rescue organization. We'll bring her to our home for a trial period to find out how we get along. I'm not certain how I'll be able to tell if she likes it in our condo. I suppose, if she walks in the front door, looks around then pees on my leg that would be a prime indicator.
I do have mixed feelings about this scenario. On the one hand I'm offering a home to a friend in need but I'll also trying to fill a hole in my heart with a substitute Charlie and that might not be such a good thing at this time. One would have had to have and lost a best friend who has crossed the Rainbow Bridge to understand.
Wish us both the best, please. I'd like this to work out but if not----------to be continued.
Why Not? She'd Fit Right In
The Democrats have John Fetterman and Diane Feinstein in the Senate------barely. Both are headed for the big 'Dirt Nap' and probably sooner than later.
If the Dem's can get Di-Fi to resign the word on the street is Gov. Gavin Newsom will appoint this esteemed legal mind to the greatest collection of minds ever gathered since Alfalfa took over the Lil' Rascals.

Children of certain ages who received Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine face an elevated risk of heart inflammation, according to a new federally funded study.
Vaccinated children aged 12 to 17 face a heightened risk of myocarditis, a form of heart inflammation, and a related condition called pericarditis, U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) researchers found.
The number of myocarditis and pericarditis events in that age group met the threshold for a safety signal, the researchers reported in the Journal of the American Medical Association on May 22. https://www.theepochtimes.com/fda-detects-serious-safety-signal-for-covid-19-vaccination-among-kids_5288229.html?utm_source=Morningbrief&src_src=Morningbrief&utm_campaign=mb-2023-05-26&src_cmp=mb-2023-05-26&utm_medium=email&est=Tkhvzwtmya8wKX1QK7fyEwmkT%2FzyPP3A1swJHp1%2FQAPtVdmegIbMWJbu1BpVE8Qu

What Standards?
Silly me. I always considered members of the U.S. Senate to be an august body of learned people even if I didn't agree with their policies. When they allow a guy like John Fetterman enter into the Senate chamber dressed in shorts and his hoodie you know all sense of decorum is in the toilet.
Getting To Know Your Target Corporation

Send Him To The Guillotine
Yes this is Richard Barnett. He's the guy who walked into Nancy Pelosi's office and put his feet up on her desk. The Biden regime and his minions(I'm talking corrupt judges), have brought down the wrath of the devil on the neck of the 63 year old Arkansas retired firefighter. He was sentenced to 4.5 years in prison for this act. If you think this country isn't under attack from the communist Left think again. When arrested Barnett wasn't carrying a weapon, not even a pocket knife. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-12121787/Capitol-rioter-propped-feet-Pelosis-desk-photo-sentenced-4-years.html
Detesting Our Politicians
One aspect of elections, for me, is every four years political parties trot out candidates and the populace is forced to get excited about the prospects of having their candidate elected. It doesn't matter if said candidate is a direct descendant of Abraham Lincoln or Zippy the Chimp. The voters fall in line screaming and yelling chants for their guy or gal to win.
It seems to me the older we become the candidates promises are exposed as more shallow. In other words, I don't believe one damn word these clowns spew into the atmosphere.
In order to understand what I've written let's take a peek at just one fake promise given to us by Joe Biden.
"Here’s my promise to you: If I’m elected president, I will always choose to unite rather than divide.
I’ll take responsibility instead of blaming others. I’ll never forget that the job isn’t about me — it’s about you."
Pretty silly, isn't it.
An Amazing Liar
'President Joe Biden has once again claimed that his son Beau died in Iraq, after doing so multiple times on the campaign trail and during his presidency.
Beau Biden died of brain cancer in 2015 at Walter Reed National Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland, at the age of 46.
“My son was a major in the US Army. We lost him in Iraq,” he told troops at Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni last week during a visit to Japan'.
You can thank the media for perpetuating this liar nonsense. The Federalist published a list of 231 lies told by Biden since he's been sitting in the Oval Office. https://thefederalist.com/2022/03/08/heres-the-full-list-of-every-lie-joe-biden-has-told-as-president-part-three/

Stay Away From Minneapolis
Daquan Rogers who fatally shoved a man onto a Minneapolis Light Rail last week was released without charges.
Last Saturday around 1 am, Minneapolis police responded to calls about a man who had become trapped under a train at the Hennepin Avenue/Warehouse District station.
According to reports, the victim was pushed onto the Minneapolis Light Rail after an argument with another man and was crushed by an oncoming train. https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2023/05/suspect-who-fatally-shoved-man-onto-minneapolis-light/
It gets better, or worse, depending on your suspect. Look at the laws passed by the Democrat controlled Minnesota legislature:
