Mao Tse Tung was the worst tyrant in human history, having brought about the death of 70,000,000 of his own subjects during peacetime. He was a totalitarian communist who reduced every soul in the most populous nation on earth to absolute slavery. This gives him a great deal of cachet among liberals. Obama's Communications Director Anita Dunn regards Mao as one of her "favorite political philosophers." She might not be alone. Here's Obama's Manufacturing Czar Ron Bloom:
Quoting Chairman Mao with admiration Bloom says, "Power comes from the barrel of a gun." So much for the consent of the governed.
