I'm thinking there have to be honest, hard working Californians; folks who follow the law and try to do good. Even so, what's going on in that state is a sign of the times.
Chaos and crisis seem to be pretty much what we're looking at every day in every way and the price of fuel in California today might as well apply to every other staple of life in every state.
