Sometimes, I think too much about junk I shouldn't. This morning, between sips of coffee, I was wondering the mood of the nation if tonight it was announced Kamala had taken the oath of office because of the demise of her predecessor. It would make for interesting conversation. Would the country rally around her?
I remember the time I was talking with my grandfather about presidents. He told me about Theodore Roosevelt coming through Boone Iowa on the train and Grandpa went down to the depot to see him. One thing my Granddad told me I never forgot, and we're talking somewhere around 1956, when he said about TR: "I'm glad I was alive when he was president." I wonder how many of us would say that about our current administration.
