Rasmussen Poll

According to a Rasmussen Poll released the week of April 5, only 53% of Americans approve of capitalism over socialism. Upon hearing this I was in disbelief but the more I thought about it I said to myself, "probably so". The poll also told us that somewhere around 27% weren't sure leaving 20% who voted socialism. Think about this, if you will. Any number of pundits have written hundreds of times regarding the ignorance of the American people when it comes to governmental affairs. The primary point being Americans don't know the difference between socialism and capitalism. Most of them couldn't tell you the difference between the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution. Opinions are acceptable to the population especially when given by dolts. If you don't believe me read the works of Alexis de Tocqueville. He was a 19th century Frenchman who traveled the country writing and telling us how we should admire our nation. One of his pearls of wisdom was that only a select few should be allowed to vote based on property and knowledge of our country.
