It was only a week ago that I was pounding on the computer keys wondering why my blog, "Is Glenn Beck A Whack Job" had so many page hits. At the time it struck me that people google a name of interest because they like the person or hate them. I wondered if I wrote a piece titled, "Is Nancy Pelosi A Prostitute On The Side", would it rival the hits Beck received. Well, it didn't. The point of this being, maybe the general public thinks Ms. Pelosi is already a lady of the night and it's no big deal. Afterall, she has been screwing her constituents for many years. I also suggested I might title a column, "Man impregnates Shetland pony". On second thought I don't think I want to go down that road. I've got enough problems without the general public thinking I'm a pervert. Besides, one day one of my nine grandchildren might read MJ Hawkeye. That, my friends, would be difficult to explain.
At this point in time I need my southern correspondent out of The Woodlands, Texas to jump in and provide some wit and wisdom.
I'll be on the road starting tomorrow heading back to Dublin, Ohio for the Presidents Cup golf tournament. You don't suppose the government shutdown will affect me in any way. Perhaps President Obama will close the interstate highway systems. I'm not afraid. I have Putin's cell phone number in my wallet.

One More Reason To Send Your Child To A Private School
7th Grader Suspended For Plastic Gun Key Chain The Size Of A Quarter
Continuing to demonize anything that even looks like a gun, schools continue behavioral modification for the young.
Via Daily Caller
Yet another student has landed in trouble for having something that represents a gun, but isn’t actually anything like a real gun. This time, the student is 12-year-old Joseph Lyssikatos, a student in advanced math who had perfect attendance last year. The seventh-grader made the mistake of bringing a ridiculously small, silver keychain shaped like a gun to Alan Shawn Feinstein Middle School in Coventry, R.I, reports local NBC affiliate WJAR. The two-inch keychain fell out of Lyssikatos’s backpack while he was at school. After another kid picked it up and displayed it to other students, a teacher intervened and impounded the keychain. Apparently fearing that the roughly quarter-sized hunk of cheap metal was somehow a danger to life and limb, school officials sprang into action. They suspended Lyssikatos for three days. He has also been banned from an upcoming class field trip. The boy’s parents aren’t pleased.
This & That In Minnesota
Regardless of how much I detest Ten Mile Lake for it's fishing there are some sad moments that cause reflection this time of year. I took the deck slats off the dock today. I piled them next to a ridge ten feet above the lake water. I should say, I had help pulling and stacking the slats. I gave my neighbor's daughter $10 to help me. There are only twelve slats but I promise I would have breathing like a thoroughbred after a two mile run if I'd done it myself. Pulling the lake dock in signifies the end of another year. That's sad. When we leave on Wednesday the ritual is to walk down to the shore and wave good-bye to the lake. Everyone up here does it. I guess traditions never die.
We drove into Hackensack to watch the international chainsaw championship competition but it was over for another year. We did watch the locals bid on wood carvings of bears. Bears are popular items up here especially when hanging on cabin walls or in a yard. But there were a myriad of other northwoods items a person could take home if they had $300 or more. Personally, I don't get excited about a northern pike carved out of wood. They all say the same thing; 'Welcome to the lake'. You know what they say, though. One man's trash is another man's treasure. My neighbor bought a wood carving of a bear with a stick protruding from it's paws. On the end of the stick were fake Smores and a wood carving of a fire below it. And it only cost him $275.
I didn't realize I have exactly ten fishing reels. That seems like enough. I gave one to my neighbor's girlfriend. This neighbor is twenty-years old and I've know him since he was two. If there was a calamity and his parents perished I'd adopt him in a heart beat.
Between my neighbor's home(Oh, what the heck. He's a vice-president of the Minnesota Timberwolves NBA team and a regular Joe) is a real dump of a cabin. The owner died two years ago and the place is still on the market. His kin are asking $280,000 for the place. It's worth about $28.00 but shoreline is shoreline and it's a beauty. If you've got an extra couple hundred grand and then another two hundred to tear this place down and rebuild then go for it. I can set you up with a realtor.
The leaves started turning three days ago. That's strange. I've been here in August when the trees are vivid with color. Not this year. It might have something to do with global warming depending on with whom one speaks. Personally thinking, I don't really think any of the natives up here give a wild hoot about GW.
There isn't much else to add. We only receive three television channels 'Up North' and since it's all football all day this posting gave me a nice diversion.
Thanks for reading.

Obama Lied To Us: Big Time
From Todd Starnes, Fox News:
President Obama lied to us.
It wasn’t a white lie. It wasn’t a fib. It wasn’t a half truth. It was a bold-faced lie.
“No matter how we reform health care, we will keep this promise,” President Obama told the American Medical Association in 2009. “If you like your doctor, you will be able to keep your doctor. Period. If you like your health care plan, you will be able to keep your health care plan. Period. No one will take it away. No matter what.”
That statement turned out to be a lie. Period

Abortionist: We Invite Moms to Hold Their Babies After Abortions
It's ghoulish, to say the least.
A recent interview with late-term abortionist Dr. Susan Robinson has drawn significant attention for some of the ways Robinson attempts to humanize the process of destroying the lives of unborn children in late-term abortions.
Although surveys show women frequently regret their abortions and face a litany of medical and mental health problems following an abortion, Robinson attempts to make women feel better about their decision in a sick and twisted sort of way. From a report on the interview:

Jia Tolentino interviewed Susan Robinson, one of only four American abortionists who openly perform third-trimester abortions. Robinson is featured in the new documentary After Tiller, which premiered in New York last weekend:
Tolentino: I was really moved and amazed by the scene where you’re writing down a baby’s name, noting the family’s request for a memory box and a viewing, showing the little ink footprints. Do families often want to engage with their baby like this after an abortion? How many people are ready to—as you say—say hello to their baby at the same time that they’re telling it goodbye.

Is Nancy Pelosi A Prostitute On The Side
On September 11, 2013 ol' MJ Hawkeye decided to get back in the game by resuming the blog site that, except for a couple of posts, had remained dormant for a year. It was my second or third post in which I did an opinion piece on Glenn Beck titled: 'Is Glenn Beck A Whack Job'? Since I published that post it is getting over 180 page views on a daily basis. Now, I cannot believe that the power of my blog is that great that people from all over the world are tuning in to see what I write. So, I have to believe that folks are googling(I'm a Bing man myself) Glenn Beck in order to find out what's up with him on a daily basis. Therefore, I've decided to run a test. As you can see at the top of the heading I've titled this post: 'Is Nancy Pelosi A Prostitute On The Side'? If Nancy Baby overtakes Beck then my assumption will be correct. If I want page views I'll have to come up with something preposterous for each post. I can do one of these: 'Man impregnates Shetland Pony'. I may not be the most popular blogger on the planet but I will have people looking at my site at least once before they throw up.
I Hate This Lake
It's time to vent. Don't think this post is directed directly at you because I need to write before the volcano inside me erupts.
We have a cabin on beautiful Ten Mile Lake in north central Minnesota. It's 5,000 acres of spring fed water. It's also a lake where the fish go on permanent vacation between May and November.
I bought a boat, a fishing boat, on August 28, 2013. I was excited. It's a nice Lund boat with a 50 HP 4 stroke motor. It has plenty of storage space and a live well that's huge. That live well is waster of space. I have caught exactly one fish bigger than my hand and my hands are about the size of the small people in the movie, The Wizard of Oz.
Larry the Garbage Man, he runs the local dump, told me to go down to Angel Island and fish in water 15' deep with floating Rapalas, chartreuse in color. Larry the Garbage Man told me he catches five, six walleye every day. "Make sure you go between 2 PM and 5 PM. That's when the fish are jumping into the boat". So, I went down there any number of times and the only thing I accomplished was to use precious gasoline. Larry the Garbage Man lies so much he has to be a Democrat.
I was in the boat two evenings ago and felt a slight tug on my line. I figured if was seaweed so I reeled in. I had caught a 3" large mouth bass. My lure was 3" in length. I'll give that bass credit for one thing. He has a lot of confidence and a damned huge ego.
Not to be outdone by Billy Bass, a few minutes later another tug yielded a Northern Pike. I pulled out my tape measure. Just as I thought. It was 6' long.
In only four days I'll be going home to Dublin, Ohio. I can hardly wait. I hate this lake.

Dr. Ben Carson: Another Right Wing Crackpot
Line up an A list of Progressives, Liberals, whatever: Al Sharpton, Nancy P., Barack O., any Dem in the Congress who is a supporter of ObamaCare. Then compare that person and their knowledge of health and the impact of healthcare on the public with Dr. Benjamin Carson, professor emeritus of neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins. Put out both of your hands palms up. Move them up and down. Look at the palms and place Dr. Carson on one palm and the entire brainpower of the Left on the other. Weigh the evidence. Who gets your vote for trust? This should be a no brainer, huh? Well, evidently it's not because the Dems have done nothing but demonize Dr. Carson. I've inserted a paragraph from an article written by the doctor. Read it then read the entire article. Dr. Carson should be on everyone's list for how to become a great American. If there was ever a better example of a true Horatio Alger story I can't find one.
"Those who wish to fundamentally change America are happy with the trends we see. However, those of us who love the Judeo-Christian values upon which our country was founded and under which it flourished in the past, must not dwell on past mistakes, but learn from them. We must not capitulate to secular progressives, and unlike them, we should be loving and kind. But most importantly, we must never give up".(On fighting ObamaCare).
Ben S. Carson is professor emeritus of neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins University

ObamaCare: Let It Blow Up In Their Faces
Linda Chavez is a former worker in the Reagan and Bush Administrations. George Bush nominated her for Sec. of Labor but, and get this, it was found out that she at one time employed an illegal immigrant. The Dems raised holy heck so she had to turn down the nomination. If Obama had done the same she'd now be the Ambassador to the UN. She's a smart lady. It's her opinion that we shouldn't defund ObamaCare; just let it happen. Anyone with half a brain should realize this law is a disaster. The Democrats will never recover and then common sense will prevail. Even the most Lofo voter will be able to understand how their premiums have skyrocketed and healthcare diminished.
"I'm going out on a limb here, but I predict that two years into implementation of the law there will still be in excess of 30 million people uninsured under this plan. But the problems for those who already have insurance will be even worse.
Premiums are bound to go up significantly. The law mandates coverage for pre-existing conditions and requires insurers to pay for procedures and services they previously had the discretion to withhold or charge more for, which makes providing health care to the insured more expensive. The only way to hold costs down is to bring younger, healthier people into the system. But those are the very people most likely to pay the fines rather than pay exponentially more for insurance.
Obamacare is a house of cards just waiting to fall of its own weight. As unhappy as Americans are now at the prospect of Obamacare, just wait until they have to live under it. Even Democrats will be pushing to rewrite the law once their constituents feel its full effects. Patience will pay off for the GOP".

Obam-Me
Peggy Noonan, former speech writer to Ronald Reagan and conservative pundit has her inside sources in the White House. According to her, Obama's staff refers to him as 'Obam-Me' because of his penchant of having it all be about him, all day, all the time.
"Nancy Pelosi And Hundreds Of Others Are Toast"
CNSNews.com) -- Because of her longstanding support for abortion, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), a Catholic, must be denied Communion under the law of the Catholic Church, said Cardinal Raymond Burke, head of the highest court at the Vatican.
Cardinal Burke referenced his remarks about Pelosi to Canon Law--the law governing the Catholic Church--and specifically Canon 915, which says those Catholics who obstinately persevere “in manifest grave sin are not to be admitted to Holy Communion
http://cnsnews.com/news/article/michael-w-chapman/vatican-chief-justice-nancy-pelosi-must-be-denied-communion
There's more good news dealing with the Catholic hypocrites in our government. Add Joe Biden, Kathleen Sebelius and John Kerry as partners along with Pelosi. Except for a handful of practicing non-abortion congressman there are scads of maggots who will not be able to receive the Body and Blood of Christ. I know how this works. The guilty will try and buy their way out by donating cash to a parish. Some will slide by but in the end they all have to answer to the One and Only.

Media Has Shorts In A Bind Over Pope Francis
Last week the world media got all giggly because they thought Pope Francis had come over to their side on abortion and gay marriage. What fools. What the Pope said was that Catholics needed to focus on issues aside from abortion and gays.
I get a feeling that this guy is the real deal who loves being around real people and follows the precepts of the Church. Did you happen to catch the story of a thirty-five woman from Florence, Italy who was pregnant and unmarried? She was dating a guy, a Lothario, who was already married and he up and left her. This distraught lady wrote a letter and addressed it as such:
Pope
The Vatican
Rome
Guess what? It found it's way into the hands of Pope Francis. The content said that she was Catholic but was considering an abortion. She pleaded for the Pope to pray for her.
Not only were prayers offered but Francis personally called her on the phone and said if she kept the baby he would act as its godfather for life if she would have him.
I like this guy a lot. The media can gather up their literary guns and ammo again because the Pope isn't giving in. Oh, I've included an article that might interest our media friends. Priests who support gay marriage are now subjected to excommunication. If you aren't a Catholic and don't understand the word it means, "you're outta here, Buster ".
Enjoy the article.
Just ask Greg Reynolds of Melbourne – a priest who appears to have been both defrocked and excommunicated because of his radical views on women clergy and gay marriage. From Australia's The Age:
From all of last week's headlines saying that the Pope wants to forget this nonsense about abortion and gays, you'd imagine that Germaine Greer had been elected to run the Catholic Church. Actually what the Pope was saying was that he wants the Church to talk more about what it's for than what it's against. But that doesn't mean it won't still be against those things that contradict its teachings and traditions.

500 Obama Promises That Have Come And Gone
Obama has kept 241, or 45 percent, of his roughly 500 campaign promises, while breaking 118, or 22 percent, and compromising on roughly 25 percent. The remaining 8 percent are essentially still to be determined.

Nairobi Mass Murder-Over 30 Killed
Members of al Qaeda stormed a shopping mall in Nairobi, Kenya telling all Muslims to get out before they went on a murdering rampage killing thirty or more at latest count. According to news reports these Muslims were required to chant a prayer only they would know to save their lives. News reports indicate some Americans were injured.
This slaughter opens the door for Liberals and members of the Democrat Party(Piers Morgan included) to start a gun control movement to get radical jihadists to give up their AR 15's.

Weddings: They Aren't For Guys
I've been married going on 44 years and it still rankles me that weddings aren't for guys. We get shut out on everything, especially gifts.
A teaching and coaching buddy of mine along with his wife moved to Arizona twenty-five years ago from Illinois but we've stayed in touch over the years. When my daughter lived in Scottsdale I rented a car once and drove 3 hours to make a visit. They live in Parker, Arizona, situated on the Colorado River across from California. Lucky for them they don't live a mile west. Anyway, they're youngest son is getting married this October and we received an invitation to attend. They were registered in the gift section at Bed, Bath and Beyond and Target. It's easy to buy a gift off of these places on the internet. Couples even put a 'wish list' on it. I don't like usually go this route because it's too easy; sort of like sending an email to someone instead of writing a personal letter via snail mail. Regardless, we made an attempt but couldn't find anything that she( wife) thought was the correct gift. so we wandered into Walker, Minnesota, population 967. They have a number touristy places to shop and my wife saw a salad bowl that she liked. It was hand made. She thought it would make a wonderful gift. "Oh, they'll just absolutely love this", she said. I looked at it and thought, "If you say so". There was an elderly lady standing next to me and I asked her opinion. "Oh, what a beautiful salad bowl. It's adorable". Once again, I'm thinking, "It's a damned wooden bowl". If I was the prospective groom my reaction would be the same as if I saw a dead bird along side a highway.
The more things change the more they stay the same. You've heard that phrase before. The 'same' would be December of 1969. That's the month we were married. I remember how I had to look at gifts and act like I was thrilled.
Why is it a gift can't be for a guy? Why aren't there showers for guys? I could have asked my high school buddies plus everyone in my wedding along with new friends from Storm Lake, Iowa where I coached and taught to come to MJ's shower. For starters I would have rented out the Knights of Columbus Hall. The beer taps are never shut down in that place. I wouldn't have held the bash the night before the wedding, either. They do have air flights to Vegas don't ya' know.
My gift list would have been the following:
1) cases of beer
2) beer mugs that were unique. They would have had a bikini clad lady emblazoned on the front.
3) a pair of tickets to an Iowa basketball game would have been good.
4) a mini TV to use in my man cave.
5) sporting goods. Name a normal male who doesn't like sporting goods.
If a guy put his mind to it the list could have been endless.
One thing I'm certain about is I wouldn't have asked for a wooden salad bowl. And you can take that to the bank.

When It Comes To Abortion The US Is No Better Than China
From The Weekly Standard:
The United States is an outlier when it comes to the scope of the abortion “right.” The United States is one of approximately ten nations (of 195) that allow abortion after fourteen weeks of gestation. The others are: Canada, China, Great Britain, North Korea, the Netherlands, Singapore, Sweden, Western Australia, and Vietnam. When it comes to allowing abortion for any reason after viability, however, the United States is joined only by Canada, North Korea, and China. The United States got into this situation because after the second round of arguments in Roe and Doe, the Justices abruptly decided to expand the abortion right they were creating to fetal viability—and then beyond. For forty years, this abrupt decision has had profound implications for late-term abortions, live-birth abortions, and women’s health.
The Fallacy Of The Kinsey Report
If I mentioned the words, Kinsey Report, you'd most likely take the results as gospel; sort of like everyone was made to believe that coconut oil was a health hazard when it's been proven that it was a liberal piece scat. The study was presented to us by two California hippies in the 1990's.
Even today people think the Kinsey Report carries the weight of the world. The research was done in 1948 and 1953. Did you know that? We were led to believe that the homosexual rate in this country was 10%. That, too, is nonsense. It's at 2% and as I love to say, if you don't believe me you can look it up. No, you don't have to. It's right in front of your eyeballs..
(CDC Photo) (CNSNews.com) - In the Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report released on Friday, the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said that only about 2 percent of the U.S. population are men who have sex with men. The CDC made the assertion in a new report indicating that 80 percent of all new HIV infections in 2010 were of men and that 78 percent of those were among men who have sex with men (MSM). "MSM represent approximately 2 percent of the U.S. population," said the MMWR. - See more at: http://cnsnews.com/news/article/terence-p-jeffrey/cdc-2-population-are-men-who-have-sex-men#sthash.0dmGGiEw.dpuf.
I'm putting my money on the Centers for Disease and Control not a couple of people who wanted government funds to keep their research alive.

Democrats Spit On Benghazi Graves
From Townhall: (9-19-13)
During the second portion of a House Oversight and Government Reform hearing about Benghazi Thursday on Capitol Hill, the majority of Democrats on the Committee left the room and refused to listen to the testimony of Patricia Smith and Charles Woods. Ms. Smith is the mother of Sean Smith, an information management officer killed in the 9/11 Benghazi attack. Charles Woods is the father of Navy SEAL Tyrone Woods, who was also killed.
I present to you the list of Democrat traitors:
Carolyn Maloney
Danny Davis
Eleanor Holmes Norton
Gerald E. Connolly
Jim Cooper
John Tierney
Mark Pocan
Matt Cartwright
Michelle Lujan Grisham
Peter Welch
Stephen Lynch
Steven Horsford
Tammy Duckworth
Tony Cardenas

Two Stories About Benghazi
When I first heard the news about the recent D.C. shootings my response was, and I hate writing this, one of "Ho-hum, here we go again". I think I've become immune to these shootings. It's not that I don't care but I've become accustomed to violence and mass killings. I wait for the media to blame someone or something, usually Tea Party people or AR-15's. Check out the past mass shootings. They were all done by the mentally ill who also happened to be Democrats and Obama supporters.
There is one action that has been done against this country that terrifies me and has caused such anger that I can't express in harshest enough terms the hate I feel toward this current administration. And this is the Benghazi slaughter of September 11, 2012. The United States of America does not leave our soldiers behind. The cover up on these killings is a sin of the highest order.
I've had two circumstances in my recent life that illustrates how absurd is the Benghazi massacre.
This past summer, sometime in June, I was at my golf club and hooked up with a young man who was a high school history instructor. He taught in a large affluent suburban school outside Columbus, Ohio. The kid said he taught 10th graders. After our round he drove me to my vehicle. On my back window in the upper left hand corner I have a bumper sticker that reads: 'Remember Benghazi-They Let Them Die'. After I had unloaded my golf clubs I shut the hatch back and the kid was looking at the sticker. That's when he asked me, "What's Benghazi". My initial response was, "You've gotta be shi**ing me". Then in a calm voice I suggested he get on his computer and look it up. I even pulled out a sheet of paper and wrote Benghazi on it so he wouldn't forget.
Here's a teacher, an American History instructor, who had never heard anything about the killings. It's no wonder our children are so ill-informed. Just look at what's up in front of the classroom.
I came to our Minnesota lake cabin in late August to look for a fishing boat. I found one I thought I might like in Detroit Lakes which is an hour and a half from our cabin. I didn't want to buy off the internet so I drove over to give it a personal look. About half way there I was following a large SUV. It came to a stop on Highway 34 to make a left hand turn. I notice the back window was dirty and someone had, with a finger, written 'I love Daddy'. There were hearts drawn on the window, too. Because there is so much boat travel in Minnesota you'll find bypass roads on the right side of single lane highways. I pulled to the right to pass and went around the vehicle in front of me. This was a big mistake on my part because a mile later I saw, in my rear view mirror, that same car which had turned left in front of me now following with red lights flashing. Here's the long story short. Yes, it was a law enforcement guy, a deputy sheriff named Corey. He pulled me over because he said I was following too close and what I thought was a bypass lane was actually a turn right road. We went through the drill of he taking my license to check me out for outstanding tickets. I watched in my rear view mirror as he returned to my car with ticket book in hand. I'm unlucky in these situations so I resigned myself to paying a hundred dollar fine or whatever he wrote down. All of a sudden Corey stopped, looked at my bumper sticker for a few seconds, then put his book away. I was told to be careful and be on my way. Whew!
My wife told me she should never drive in my car with that sticker on it. She thinks we'll be attacked or shot. I told her, "Honey, 99.9% of the population is clueless when it comes to Benghazi. They'll think it's a rock band and they went out of existence because no one liked their music".
So, there you have it. One story of American ignorance and one story about American patriotism. I'm glad I had that sticker on my car.

Seven Reasons To Defund ObamaCare
I've come across seven solid reasons to defund ObamaCare. We still have the opportunity to do so. You may have a congressman who is a conservative and not a member of the Wuss Party. If they are conscientious people then do yourself and your children a favor and ask, beg, plead to have them vote to defund the real abortion of a bill.
The following are basic in nature. With a modicum of thought there are, just like the length of the bill, literally thousands of other reasons to get rid of this monstrosity. Is so bad that congressional staff have exempted themselves from it
Violates freedom of religion and conscience by requiring Christian businesses to pay for abortifacients
Will send your tax dollars to health care providers who perform abortions
Is the leading job-killer in America, as companies lay off workers because of its mandates and its costs
Forces companies to shift workers from fulltime to part-time positions
Drives up the cost of health care premiums
Reduces the availability and affordability of health
The following are basic in nature. With a modicum of thought there are, just like the length of the bill, literally thousands of other reasons to get rid of this monstrosity.
Biden Speaks About The Middle Class
Joe Biden:
"The president and I have had a laser focus on one thing: raising up the middle class … The measure of success of our administration will be whether or not the middle class is growing and the things that allow it to grow, and allow it to feel some security, are able to be put in place again.”
This middle class garbage the administration keeps spewing is manna to the mouths of liberals. Think about it for awhile. Democrats want to expand the middle class. That's foolish. I grew up in a lower middle class home. When I started teaching and coaching in 1968 my salary was $6,800 and contained in that was an extra $100 if I live in the town of 600 citizens. I guess they figured I would buy gas and groceries. What a bunch of fools. I did buy gas but that was to drive 8 miles to hit the bars where the girls from the Univ. of Northern Iowa attended. My wife and I were married in 1969. My salary that year was $7,300. It's only a guess but I'd peg myself at being in some type of financial lower class at the time. After twenty years of teaching my top end salary was $28,000. That would qualify me for the lower class except my wife was teaching and our salaries were doubled. We were now in the middle class. Hooray, according to Joe Biden.
Like Martin Luther King, I had a dream. It was to escape from the middle class. Every American worth anything does not want to be in the middle class. It's like being called an average salesman. That means you're the best of the lousiest and the lousiest of the best. My goal was to strive to be the best I could be, professionally and economically. I desired to be in the upper classes, the 1% of all things good. It's a goal everyone in this country should have. It's not like there's a limited amount of money to go around to be distributed among the masses. Wouldn't it be wonderful if we could eliminate the lower and middle classes? Except, I don't believe the current administration wants this. How else could they keep the Lofo voters in check by using hate, jealously and envy against the upper class to keep themselves in power?

Obama's Main Legacy-Insensitivity
From Investor's Business Daily:
Barack Obama has never been accused of possessing the most refined sense of appropriate, especially when it comes to what normal people regard as tragedies.
Fifty-three weeks ago when four Americans were murdered by terrorists in Benghazi, Obama appeared after a good night's sleep, bemoaned the loss, vowed to deliver justice to the killers (still unfulfilled), then flew off for fundraising parties in Las Vegas. Hey, they're still dead anyway, and there was big campaign money waiting.
When a 133-foot-tall wall of tsunami water rolled 10 miles inland to kill 16,000 in Japan two years ago, Obama expressed his sorrow, then went golfing. When bad weather canceled his trip to the funeral of Poland's president, Obama paid his respects by golfing.
As the Gulf coast economy struggled back from the nation's worst environmental disaster ever, Obama urged all Americans to vacation there. Then, he took his family to the New England coast.
So, it should not be surprising that as heavily-armed SWAT teams combed the Washington Navy Yard Monday for at least one deranged killer, Obama took the occasion to proceed with one of his harshest partisan speeches in months.

The D.C. Shooting-Blame Joe Biden
Goofball Joe Biden is Obama's outfront pin cushion for gun control, especially on getting rid of Ar-15's. CNN is so confused they called yesterday's killer weapon an AR-15 shotgun. When it comes to guns I'm a neophyte but I do know that AR-15's and shotguns don't go together.
I'm blaming our Veep for yesterday's tragedy. It's his fault. He needs to step forward and take the blame. "C'mon, Joe, be a man".
Let's walk back to February of 2013 and read what he had to say about shotguns. You know what I'm talking about, the weapon of choice used by the D.C. killer crackpot.

Vice President Joe Biden has been President Obama's point man on gun control for the past few months. On Tuesday, the Veep participated in a Facebook town hall with Parents Magazine when he suggested that semiautomatic weapons aren't the most effective means of defending yourself. Quite simply, he said that you should buy a shotgun.
Speaking with Parents Magazine in a Facebook town hall on Tuesday, Biden said that he has advised his wife, Jill — if she ever has the need to protect herself at their home in Wilmington, Del. — that a double-barreled shotgun should be her weapon of choice.
"I said, 'Jill, if there's ever a problem, just walk out on the balcony here ... walk out and put that double-barrel shotgun and fire two blasts outside the house," Biden said.

Guess Who Made Military Bases Gun Free Zones
iOwnTheWorld, a clever and very funny web site, states that Clinton wanted military bases to be 'pants free' zones but that's another story.
Presented to you is an article from Breitbart:
According to a Washington Times editorial written days after the Nov. 5, 2009 attack on soldiers at Fort Hood, one of Clinton's "first acts upon taking office... was to disarm U.S. soldiers on military bases."
Clinton's actions birthed Army regulations "forbidding military personnel from carrying their personal firearms and making it almost impossible for commanders to issue firearms to soldiers in the U.S. for personal protection."
In other words, thanks to Clinton, citizens who join the military to use guns to defend liberty abroad cannot practice their constitutional right to keep and bear arms while on active duty at home.
As the Times editorial board put it: "Because of Mr. Clinton, terrorists would face more return fire if they attacked a Texas Wal-Mart than the gunman faced at Fort Hood."
An Embarrassing Foreign Policy
Enjoy your morning coffee with a column from Marc A. Thiessen, guest opinion writer for the Washington Post. Obama and Kerry have deluded themselves into thinking they know what they are doing with their foreign policy initiatives in Syria. Incompetent boobs is what we Iowans would call it.
"
We’re conducting foreign policy by faux pas. This entire episode has been driven not by deliberate strategy but by slips of the tongue. Obama’s declaration of a “red line” on chemical weapons was a slip of the tongue. So was Secretary of State John Kerry’s offer to have Syria give up its chemical weapons. There is no plan, no coherence to anything this administration is doing on Syria.
More embarrassing still, Obama is actually claiming that the diplomatic “breakthrough” is the result of his administration’s show of strength.
Excuse me?
Was it a show of strength when Obama went to the world’s nations and asked them to join him in enforcing “their” red line — finding only one country (France) ready to do so? Or when the British parliament rejected military action for the first time since the 1700s? Or when a U.S. official told the Los Angeles Times that any U.S. strike would be “just muscular enough not to get mocked”? Or when Kerry declared that any strike would be “unbelievably small” and would not really constitute “war”? Or when Obama used his prime-time, nationally televised address to call on Congress to do . . . nothing?
That’s not a show of strength. That’s an embarrassment

When Is A Communist A Communist
Let's pretend you're God-fearing voter and there's a presidential election. Let's also pretend that you are a patriot and that you sometimes vote Democrat and sometimes Republican. i.e. a level headed voter who wants what is only good for the country.
Like all good Americans who vote in presidential elections you study the candidates and their views then on that special day in November you enter the voting booth and cast your ballot for the best candidate, the one who will do what is right for America.
I came across an article in The American Thinker for September 16, 2013. The interesting thing about it is, from my point of view, that those people on the Right already know the information presented. The ones on the Left, the LoFo's(low info voters)don't know or don't care. If you read the presented material, excerpts from the article, then read the entire article common sense dictates that we have an avowed communist in the White House. If he isn't a communist when did he change his thinking and for what reason?
Check it out. If you think I'm off the reservation leave a comment.
Obama drank deeply from Davis's well. In his acclaimed 1995 memoir, Dreams from My Father, Obama described the Americanization of Hawaii in Marxist terms as an "ugly conquest." Missionaries brought "crippling diseases." American companies carved up "the rich volcanic soil" and worked their indentured laborers of color "from sunup to sunset."
After hitting the mainland Obama surrounded himself with Davis's spiritual heirs. "I chose my friends carefully," he wrote in Dreams. "The more politically active black students. The foreign students. The Chicanos. The Marxist professors and structural feminists and punk-rock performance poets." With his new friends, Obama discussed "neocolonialism, Franz (sic) Fanon, Eurocentrism, and patriarchy" and flaunted his alienation. Dr. John Drew has confirmed that the Obama he met at Occidental College was a "Marxist planning for a Communist style revolution."
The literary influences Obama cited include radical anti-imperialists like Fanon and Malcolm X, communists like Langston Hughes and Richard Wright, and tyrant-loving fellow travelers like W.E.B. DuBois. "Joseph Stalin was a great man," DuBois wrote upon Stalin's death in 1953. "Few other men of the 20th century approach his stature." In Dreams, Obama gave no suggestion that this reading was in any way problematic or a mere phase in his development. He moved on to no new school, embraced no new worldview.

There are at least six Muslim Brotherhood operatives in the Obama regime. One of them (who denies any connection) is Mohammed Elibiary. He just got a promotion to ‘senior fellow‘ at the Department of Homeland Security. Feel safer?

Who would have thought Time Magazine published four different issues for different geographical regions of the world. Not me. I'm trying to figure out why The issue published in the USA didn't have Putin's picture on the cover. Do you suspect it had anything to do with media bias? Nah, couldn't be. Maybe college football is more important than WWIII.

Common Core Not So Common
If you read one of my pieces fourteen months ago you might recall something I wrote about the 'New Normal'. What was shocking in years past is now ho-hum; drugs, sex in public, teachers who molest students then get a deferred sentence. As a high school instructor of twenty years I saw it happen slowly, like a time lapse video.
In 1987, at Alleman High School, we had a principal who called a teachers meeting and told us we had to prepare our students for a government program called 'Goals 2000'. The principal was all giddy about implementing this mandated program.
From the get go my radar went up because even then I knew it was a gobbledy gook program thought up by a Washington D.C. egghead who'd never seen the inside of a high school classroom. I'd had nineteen years of doing my thing and knew the way to teach and get the students to respond. I didn't want to have to explain why the U.S. was at fault for dropping the A-bomb on Hiroshima. Here's what I did. I listened to what Sister Mary Marshmallow had to say then went back to my classroom and continued the way I had since 1968. Yawn!
We've got another government program staring us in the face and it's potentially more dangerous than 'Goals 2000'. It's called Common Core. Let me quote it's mission statement: "The Common Core Statement Standards provide a consistent, clear understanding of what students are expected to learn(math, English, writing), so parents and teachers need to know what to do to help them'. To date, only five states have failed to sign on. They are Alaska, Minnesota, Texas, Nebraska and Virginia. Some of you might already scoff at the foot dragging of these five. It, the program, does sound benign.
I happened to come across an article in the Daily Caller that illustrates why Common Core might have some serious drawbacks. A concerned parent called Buena High School in Sierra Vista, Arizona to complain about the content of an assignment in an English class. I'll read an excerpt from a book called Dreaming in Cuba whereby the 10th grade students were required to read in class from the book. Hey! 2013 is a part of the New Normal and maybe I'm an old fuddy duddy. Then again, why not contact your school to find out exactly what's being taught and if you have concerns. After all, it's your tax dollars at work and I don't want your 'New Normal' to be a jaw dropper. Read on:
“Hugo and Felicia stripped in their room, dissolving easily into one another, and made love against the whitewashed walls. Hugo bit Felicia’s breast and left purplish bands of bruises on her upper thighs. He knelt before her in the tub and massaged black Spanish soap between her legs. He entered her repeatedly from behind.”
That steamy, erotic passage comes from page 80 of “Dreaming,” in a chapter called “The Fire Between Them.” The passage continues:

One More Reason To Send Your Children To The Private School
From The Washington Times:
The principal of Concord Carlisle High School in Boston issued an apology Wednesday after a Muslim poem was recited over the intercom on the 12th anniversary of 9/11, and the Pledge of Allegiance was not.
According to principal Peter Badalament, a “small number” of people were outraged at the poem, which was meant to promote “cross-cultural understanding,” Boston.com reported. Apparently, the Pledge of Allegiance was not read because of some confusion.

Is Glenn Beck A Whack Job
Do you listen to Glenn Beck or read his web site? Many folks don't because they think he's a whack job. People on the Left will say, "He's crazy, a real nut job", yet when asked to be specific they'll finally admit that a friend told them some bizarre tale about him and they've never actually listened to his show but still feel he's loony tunes. Others who belong to the Stupid Party say that he's an alcoholic or a Mormon. Yep! He is an alcoholic but he hasn't touched the devil's brew for over twenty years. And, yes, he is a Mormon and a fallen away Catholic at that. So what. He gets down on his knees and gives homage to God on a regular basis. Isn't that enough to satisfy most of the normal crowd? What a pitiful excuse for not listening to him especially when these same people cheer wildly when another abortion is notched on the Planned Parenthood wall of shame.
I've heard from friends on the Right who used to listen but don't anymore. They'll come up things of this nature: he's too sensitive. Sometimes, he'll cry on the radio. Wouldn't it be swell if everyone had the same persona as Gordon Gekko from Wall Street? No, it wouldn't. Beck can be intelligent, funny, sensitive. Holy Mother of all things good and prosperous; Isn't this what all women want?
I like Beck. He has passion and along with his two sidekicks makes for an interesting and often times humorous three hours. One of Beck's segments today dealt with Obama's speech of last night. You know what I'm talking about; should we bomb Assad, should we wait until the UN does something? Or, was it yes we should but maybe not. Maybe we should ask Putin. He knows everything.
Here's the gist of what I've picked up in recent weeks. The United States has virtually no foreign nations who will back us against an attack on Assad; zip, zero, nada. But according to Obama we must attack because Assad allegedly gassed Syrian rebels killing over a thousand which included over four hundred children. Give our country credit. We always stand up for and show concern for the children. I mean, think about what Janet Reno and Bill Clinton accomplished at Waco. Those kids weren't gassed. They were fried.
Our president wants to support the Syrian rebels who are members of Al Qaeda. These are the same people who bombed the United States on 9/11/2001. They are our only allies. Do you get it now? Our president is a traitor to the United States because he's in bed with a group of terrorist towel heads who want to kill all the Joos along with Mr. and Mrs Smith from Main Street USA. Good gosh, how much more simply put can I make it? An eighth grade student in a public school could figure this out. I didn't say this, Beck did. But I agree with him.
I've written my two senators numerous times and the same for my congressman on this subject. What a waste of time. One of my senators is a communist. My other senator calls himself a Republican but he's wavering on his vote. "What's to waver, Wuss"? The same goes for my congressman. Politicians are a joke. All they want to do is stay in office and feed at the government trough. From now on there are no Republicans. They are the Wuss Party.
As for Obama, he's a traitor of the highest order. He wants Al Qaeda to be victorious in Syria.
And the beat goes on.

Back In The Saddle Again
I don't know when but it's going to happen soon. Come October 1, 2013 I should be up and running again on a consistent basis. Egad! That's the day the initial 'death panel' show begins. Oh well, as the former Clinton Surgeon General, Jocelyn Elders told us, "We all gotta die some time". I can't recall, was that before or after she told kids they should masturbate more often?
But I digress. There's too much on my plate to let it go without offering educated opinions on our foray into communism and radical Islam. It should be fun. I've missed you. Forgive me grandfather. I'm wanted and I'm needed.
