America On The Slide

New York City will have to pay out $180,000 to three Muslim women after forcing them to take off their hijabs for mugshots. Three lawsuits were settled Monday in Brooklyn federal court stemming from the NYPD policy of photographing people wearing religious head coverings, the New York Daily News reported. The three women settled for $60,000 each.

An Irreverent 'Go To Hell' Joke

A Russian arrives in New York City as a new immigrant to the United States.  It's 11:00 AM on a Wednesday.
He stops the first person he sees walking down the street and says, "Thank you Mr. American for letting me come into this country, giving me housing, food stamps, free medical care, and a free education!"
The passerby says, "You are mistaken, I am a Mexican and here illegally."
The man goes on and encounters another passerby. "Thank you for having such a beautiful country here in America."
The person says, "I not American, I Vietnamese and here on a Green Card that expired two years ago."
The new arrival walks farther and stops the next person he sees, then shaking his hand, and says, "Thank you for wonderful America!” That person puts up his hand and says, "I am from Middle East.  I am not American.  It was easy to get here via Arizona."
He finally sees a nice lady and asks, "Are you an American?"
She says, "No, I am from Africa here on an Education Green Card that expired 10 years ago."
Puzzled, he asks her, "Where are all the Americans?"
The African lady checks her watch and says: "Probably at work."

A New TV Show That Will Last 30 Days Max

I thought his talk time time was up, but apparently not when it comes to Alec Baldwin. This week, ABC ordered Sundays with Baldwin, a new late-night talk show the 30 Rock star that plans to feature in-depth pop culture conversations with people like Jerry Seinfeld and Kate McKinnon.

The series will be based on Baldwin´s podcast Here’s the Thing with Alec Baldwin, and in a statement, Baldwin said, “I’m excited about this show and grateful to ABC for taking a chance on me in what is, admittedly, a crowded field. I’ve enjoyed doing my podcast for WNYC and look forward to the challenge.

And The #1 State In The Nation Is------------------------------------------------------------------IOWA!

By Jeff Charis-Carlson, Contributor | Feb. 27, 2018, at 8:00 a.m.

IOWA CITY, Iowa--Iowa may be better known for its corn, caucuses and creative writingprograms, but the Hawkeye state also leads the nation in efforts to bring ultra-fast internet access to every city block and every rural acre.
Iowa's No. 1 rankings in the infrastructure category and the broadband access metric within that came as a "pleasant surprise" to David Daack, a broadband consultant for Connected Nation, which does business in the state as Connect Iowa. Previous data reports have shown Iowa more in the middle of the pack.

Combine those No. 1s with Iowa's Top 10 rankings in health care (No. 3), opportunity(No. 4), education (No. 5) and quality of life(No. 9), and the state becomes "first in the nation" not only in terms of its presidential caucuses, but also when describing Iowa's overall placement in the U.S. News & World Report's Best States rankings.

Ponder This

In Ohio up to February 25 of 2018 there have been 1,252 instances of car accidents when the victim was not wearing a seat belt. Why would anyone not wear a seat belt unless it makes them feel constrained. They can think about that as they're rolling around the car like a bowling pin.

According to FBI statistics for 2017, 30 people every day were killed by a drunk driver.  500 people were killed with a rifle in that year. 1,500 individuals were killed by a knife. Ponder that for awhile. I say ban cars, rifles and knives.

Did you ever consider how many Democrats take money from the detestable NRA?

Why is it the Left  sets the agenda: global arming, guns. transgenders? Is it they sit around trying to be troublesome and those on the right go about their or daily business or maybe we just don't give a s*it.

Pres. Trump has proposed arming teachers, concealed carry, in schools. Of course, Democrats are patently against it. I can imagine the scenario. A gunman breaks into a classroom. The teacher, armed with a piece of chalk throws a perfect strike hitting the gunman in the nose and the children all escape while the gunman writhes on the floor in pain.

Her Majesty and I had a good week in Kansas; got to see our 7th grader play in a vollyball tourney in Lawrence. Too bad. Her team lost all six matches.

My first grade granddaughter scored two baskets in her game. Still waiting to hear how my 10 year old granddaughter did in her swimming events in the Junior Olympics in Arizona. I'm guessing not so hot since I would have heard right away if she was the next Esther Williams.

You'll notice I don't mention the athletic prowess of my grandsons. That's because they're doing dumb things like academics.

School Safety Ideas Nobody Wants To Talk About

  • Fatherlessness needs to be addressed. Kids need dads- most shooters don't have an involved dad. Can we connect boys without fathers to father-figure mentors? This is also a theme in the inner-city, less-publicized, yet more-frequent gun crimes in minority communities.
  • Adults need to be held accountable. The Parkland shooting last week is 'Exhibit A' on that. Dozens of adults at the school, local law enforcement agencies, and even the FBI knew about this kid and what he said he was going to do. Another adult, the SRO on duty, could have stopped it while it was happening but never went in. How many adults around this situation will be charged with crimes like negligence or manslaughter for their blatant failures? My guess is zero. How many will lose their jobs? My guess is zero. Nobody does anything because you risk nothing by doing nothing and get in trouble if you take a proactive approach and try to do address things before the blood is spilled. This is up and down our education and law enforcement systems.
  • Boys need safe environments to fight and let out their physical aggression. Young men involved in physically violent sports like football, wrestling, karate, etc. typically do not become mass murderers. I feel like our present culture is trying to take the fight out of our boys, but it's still hard-wired into them. Where no healthy outlets for this natural aggression exist, unhealthy ones will take their place. We need to stop shaming our boys and applying negative labels to boys that have a strong urge to fight. We need to guide and encourage them to find a healthy outlet, not tell them they're broken or bad.
  • The role of pharmaceutical drugs in mass shootings needs to be thoroughly investigated. It's too common of a theme to be ignored as a potential factor. Too many of our kids are getting drugged up instead of getting the care they really need. Right on the labels of these mood-altering drugs are side effects like "Hallucinations- loss of contact with reality." and "Suicidal thoughts." Yet we don't immediately ask about the prescriptions these kids are on, instead focusing on what kind of gun they used.
  • Training kids to huddle together as stationary targets on the ground, HAS TO STOP. It's stupid and getting our kids killed in greater numbers during these events. If they can't get in a secured room separated from the shooter, they need to run or fight, period. Get out the window or tackle the shooter etc are all way better things to teach. There are great programs to better train our kids on how to react to this threat.
  • Empower and encourage teachers and school administrators to have a plan, have the support of the district, and secure their classrooms the way they're comfortable with. Too many wonderful teachers with hearts of lions for protecting their kids are fearful bringing up their desires to their bosses whom will point to policy and liability concerns over common-sense solutions the teacher needs and wants. Teachers, if you don't get the support you need, do what you need to do anyways quietly. Damn the system. Keep our kids safe. There isn't a one-size-fits-all answer here, but all kinds of things could help like: ways to block/harden doors, weapons (gun or non-gun) to have a fighting chance if a shooter makes it through the door, and additional escape options like rope ladders for 2nd story windows teachers can deploy, etc. We can't have a cop everywhere and even if we do, there's no guarantee they won't be taking their sweet time outside like the Parkland SRO did while your class is in the crosshairs. Teachers are right there and the first line of defense and they need to think about it and take it seriously and not get in trouble if they do.
  • Finally, and most importantly, we need to improve the culture of our nation and our schools. We need to value human life highly. We need love. We need kindness. We need compassion. We need to look for the kids that are becoming isolated and need help and go help them. We need more than just anger at what's wrong, we need to celebrate the good stories and champions of kindness. Kids that care for one another don't kill each other. We need to touch the hearts of kids and train them up in morality and virtue- not just pack their heads full of information. This is exactly what we focused on when I worked for Rachel's Challenge, one of the top anti-violence programs in the country, and we saw tons of lives saved by changing the culture of schools from the inside out. (would-be-shooters with kill lists turning themselves in, gang members laying down their colors, suicides planned for that night canceled, etc.)

Somebody Needs To Come To Their Defense

Since the high school shooting in Florida, the anti-gun rhetoric has been flying fast and furious across the leftist media. There’s no responsibility attached to the shooter who killed 17 people; only the NRA and an AR-15 are to blame, apparently.
But just three short months ago, the NRA and an AR-15 were used to stop the Sutherland Springs church massacre in Texas thanks to a brave and well-armed citizen, Stephen Willeford.
Willeford retrieved his rifle from his gun safe and ran barefoot over to the church where he placed a precisely-aimed bullet in a small gap in the perpetrator’s body armor which caused the shooter, who had just killed 26 people inside a small church, to retreat to his vehicle. But Willeford, who was a trained former NRA instructor, didn’t stop there. He jumped into another man’s truck and the two pursued the gunman down the road to make sure he hurt no one else.
At the time, a humble Willeford told local news, “I’m no hero. I mean, I am not. I thank my God, my Lord protected me and gave me the skills to do what needed to be done.”

Jennifer Lawrence Is Going To Fix Our Democracy

I was beginning to get all worried about America, ya know with high school kids about to round up NRA members and hang them from the nearest lamp post, Russian bots runnin' round in my computer, and frightened Nancy Pelosi might hurt herself using powerful lawn equipment at her age cutting grass down on the southern border and all. But I'm confident I can relax now that Oscar-winning actress Jennifer Lawrence is taking a year off from her important job of acting (and gettin' nekked) so she can “fix our democracy.”
PJM - "The actress, whose latest movie, Red Sparrow, comes out March 1, says she’ll be working with an organization called Represent.Us to help combat “anti-corruption and stuff.” (See, we’re going to be totally fine.) She hopes to “get young people engaged politically on a local level” and after

Trying To Understand Modern Art

While media attention was focused on the sale of a rare Leonardo da Vinci painting, a piece of modern art being derisively described as “ketchup on canvas” just sold for nearly $50 million dollars.

However, another piece of “art,” appropriately titled Untitled, was bought for $46,437,500. As you can see, it resembles what would probably happen if a 2-year-old toddler was left on its own with a bottle of ketchup.

From Ridiculous To Being More Ridiculous

Two people who work to prepare food for students at New York University have lost their jobs for serving a meal featuring food and beverages believed to be stereotypically associated with black cuisine.  The New York Times reports:
On Tuesday, a dining hall at New York University advertised a special meal in honor of Black History Month.  On the menu?  Barbecue ribs, corn bread, collard greens, and two beverages with racist connotations: Kool-Aid and watermelon-flavored water.

Nia Harris, a sophomore in N.Y.U.'s College of Arts & Science, sought an explanation from Weinstein Passport Dining Hall's head cook.  The cook dismissed her objections, Ms. Harris said in an email to university officials, telling her that the Kool-Aid was actually fruit punch (it was not, she said) and that the dining hall served fruit-flavored water "all the time" (it does, she said, but not watermelon).
The head cook also told Ms. Harris that the employees who planned the menu were black.

Why Marjory Stoneman H.S. Never Reported Nikolas Cruz To Police

From C. A. Burroughs
Back in 2013, the Broward County School Board adopted a program where they don’t relay information to police about troubled students.

NPR reported in Fla. School District Trying To Curb School-To-Prison Pipeline;

It’s a move away from so-called “zero tolerance” policies that require schools to refer even minor misdemeanors to the police. Critics call it a “school to prison pipeline.”

Under a new program adopted by the Broward County School District, non-violent misdemeanors — even those that involve alcohol, marijuana or drug paraphernalia — will now be handled by the schools instead of the police.

Cruz was banned from carrying a backpack at school after bullets were found in his backpack. Cruz was expelled from MSD last year after a fight with his ex-girlfriend’s new boyfriend.

Non-violent misdemeanors? Even so, red flags were flying.

Again, the Broward County School Board has an official policy requiring that they don’t tell the police about non-violent incidents with troubled youth.

“There were problems with him last year threatening students, and I guess he was asked to leave campus,” Maths teacher Jim Gard told The Miami Herald.

Let’s look at a law that might cover that.
  • 784.011 Assault. —
(1) An “assault” is an intentional, unlawful threat by word or act to do violence to the person of another, coupled with an apparent ability to do so, and doing some act which creates a well-founded fear in such other person that such violence is imminent.

(2) Whoever commits an assault shall be guilty of a misdemeanor of the second degree, punishable as provided in s. 775.082 or s. 775.083.

So another Liberal Feel Good program once again stepped in the way of the laws we have on the books being effective.

Because last I checked, his actions of making threats to students and teachers constitutes assault.

It is possible that Nikolas Cruz would have been Baker Acted and received the needed medical attention he required before this all happened. But that wasn’t the case and sadly, 17 people lost their lives.

WaPo Attacks The Rev. Billy Graham

The body of the Rev. Billy Graham was not even cold before the Washington Post came out with at least three hostile opinion pieces about the man as a means of remembering him.
Seriously?  This is the man who once asked believers: if Christianity were illegal, would there be enough evidence to convict you?
Someone who had the grace to say things like this?

Pols Make Me Laugh

In an awkward onstage appearance this week, Illinois Gov. Bruce Rauner drank a glass of chocolate milk to demonstrate his belief in diversity.
"It's really, really good," Rauner said after taking a sip of the sugary drink. "Diversity!"
The clunky corporate metaphor was the brainchild of Hyatt Hotels diversity and inclusion executive Tyronne Stoudemire, who appeared alongside Rauner on Wednesday at the downtown Chicago Thompson Center to discuss workplace diversity at a Black History Month event.

Another Gun Massacre

Five women were killed and several others were injured after a gunman opened fire with a hunting rifle on people leaving a church service in Russia's Dagestan region on Sunday, Russian media outlets reported.
The shooting unfolded outside a church in Kizlyar, a town of about 50,000 people on the border with Chechnya.
The Islamic State terror network claimed responsibility, according to its Amaq media agency. ISIS said the killer was a "soldier of the caliphate," a man known as Khalil al-Dagestani, The New York Times reported.

Considering Russia has the most stringent gun laws in the world I'm flabbergasted these murderers could pull it off. And to think, the Russians don't even have the NRA.

Is It Possible Liberals/Democrats/MSM Are Racist

In perusing the internet this morning I was intent on finding information on the number of gun deaths of teenagers in Chicago last year but could come up with nothing.

I did find out there were 762 homicides in the City of Big Shoulders in '16 but this could encompass any number of of methods of inflicting death.

Regardless, my educated suspicion is there were hundreds of teenagers who were murdered via the bullet. Far more than the 17 murdered in Florida last week. And these murders, outside of being reported in the Chicago Tribune and Chicago  Sun-Times are non-stories.

So, why is it, after the most recent tragedy the media and politicians only focus on mass shootings involving mostly white kids in white schools?

Personally, I have my views but I'll leave it up to you except to say all the naysayers have a political agenda. Remember what I've always told you. The first thing to hit a congressmen's mind when their feet hit the floor in the morning is, "What can I do today to get re-elected?". It it means to trash anybody or any institution to gain a foothold then go for it.

It was enjoy writing this column at a Fairfield Inn in Columbia, Missouri. The lady who makes the breakfast and cleans up is, at this time, singing gospel hymns. What a wonderful way to begin the day.

26 Of Our Last 27 Mass Shooters Had One Thing In Common

Not to toot my own horn but I am I posted this last week but in other words:

CNN’s list of the “27 Deadliest Mass Shootings In U.S. History, only one was raised by his biological father since childhood.
“Indeed, there is a direct correlation between boys who grow up with absent fathers and boys who drop out of school, who drink, who do drugs, who become delinquent and who wind up in prison,” she writes.  “And who kill their classmates.”
This problem can’t be solved by any policy, or any sort of gun control. It is time to have a serious discussion about the degradation of our cultural norms.

A Possible Solution To School Shootings

As it is with all of you I've been consumed with the recent Florida shootings. Please, though, get this anti-NRA crap off the agenda. Knife murders outnumber gun murders by 5,000. 30,000 Americans die by guns every year. 20,000 of these by suicide. Auto accidents kill over 40,000. I don't hear an outcry to ban the car. Planned Parenthood murders over 365,000 children every year. The list is endless but the Left needs a bogey man to get money the way Hitler needed his bogeyman, Jews, to gain power. The purpose of the NRA is to provide gun safety. Many people hated the TEA Party. Remember? Yet, it stood for Taxed Enough Already. Go figure!

The Sheriff of Butler Co. Ohio(Cincinnati and parts of Dayton) has decided to off free classes on gun safety and then issue, free, concealed carry permits.

A suburb near us, Westerville suffered a terrible tragedy last week. Two officers were shot and killed. One of them was a permanent fixture at Westerville H.S. The kids loved him. The administration loved him. So far, there have been no school shootings at WHS.

This morning I had an idea that might help get rid of these 'gun free zone' signs. (bill introduced by Joe Biden in '90). What if every school, church, bank, etc. asked for volunteers to be in their building carrying a concealed weapon. There are thousands of retired members of the armed forces who, I'm sure would offer their services. As a matter of fact there are so many it's probable a man or women would only have to volunteer once a week, every two weeks, three or four. It would get them out of the house and provide a purpose in life. Did you grasp onto the word 'volunteer'? No taxpayer money would be needed to provided.

Pick A Bogey Man, Any Bogey Man

Everybody needs a scapegoat. It makes them feel better about themselves, as in, I am far superior to others. A better way of saying it is, "It wasn't my fault".

Getting to the nitty gritty and the Florida gun shooting the bogeyman is the NRA. They're so easy, much easier than, say, Planned Parenthood even though PP gives far more money to politicians that the NRA could conceive.

The way I see it is the NRA is to school shootings the way Jews were dirt scum and paved the way for the rise of Hitler.

Democrats are excellent at borrowing the theory of 'The Big Lie' from Hitler's Minister of Propaganda, Josef Goebbels. The more ridiculous the lie the more prone are the people to believe it.

Who Would Have Though John Podesta's Brother Was A Crook

With the Clinton campaign’s newfound interest in Russian espionage, it’s worth noting that it was John Podesta’s brother, Tony Podesta, who runs the firm that pocketed $180,000 from Uranium One, the Russian government’s uranium company to which then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton transferred 20% of U.S. uranium.

Russia-controlled UraniumOne retained the Podesta Group — run by the brother of Hillary Clinton’s campaign chief, John Podesta — in 2012, 2014, and 2015, to lobby Hillary Clinton’s State Department. The Podesta Group paid a total of $180,000 according to public records.
As meticulously detailed in the New York Times bestselling book Clinton Cash, Uranium One is the firm that funneled millions to the Clinton Foundation as the Russian government gained ownership of the company.

According to the New York Times, Russian President Vladimir Putin had a “goal of controlling much of the global uranium supply chain.”

So Sue Me

I read a story from The American Thinker this morning, forwarded to me by the Council Bluffs Cowboy, detailing the lack of humor among liberals. It seems a radio sportscaster told an on air joke with an ethnic bent. Three sponsors immediately dropped their sponsorship and the broadcaster was suspended without pay. Listener complaints also ruled the outrage.

Do you know why Jerry Seinfeld doesn't do college shows anymore? It's because college kids boo his material for being outrageously unfeeling toward other peoples feelings.

Why not get back at these libbies, I say. Let's find out if they can handle it.

Q: What do you get when you offer a Liberal a penny for his thoughts? A: Change. Q: How do you confuse a Liberal? A: You don't. They're born that way. Q: Why is it good to have a Liberal passenger? A: You can park in the handicap zone. Q: What's the difference between Elvis and a smart Liberal? A: Elvis has been sighted. A Liberal died and a friend went around collecting for a fund for his funeral. A woman was asked to donate ten dollars. "Ten dollars?" she said. "It only takes ten dollars to bury a Liberal? Here's a hundred - go bury 10 of them!" Q: How do you keep a Liberal busy? A: Write 'Please turn over' on both sides of a piece of paper. Q: How do you keep a Liberal busy all day? A: Put him in a round room and tell him to wait in the corner. Q: What do you call a Liberal with an IQ of 130? A: A foursome Q: How do you get a one-armed Liberal out of a tree? A: Wave to him. Q: What do you call a basement full of Liberals? A: A whine cellar. Q: What is foreplay for a Liberal? A: Thirty minutes of begging. Q: What is the Liberal doing when he holds his hands tightly over his ears? A: Trying to hold on to a thought. Q: Why did the Liberal have blisters on his lips? A: From trying to blow out light bulbs. Q: Why do Liberals work seven days a week? A: So you don't have to retrain them on Monday. A Liberal found a magic genie's lamp and rubbed it. The genie said, "I will grant you one wish." He said, "I wish I were smarter". So the genie made him a Republican. Q: What the difference between a Liberal and the rear end of a horse? A: I don't know either. Q: How is a Liberal different from a sewer rat? A: Some people actually like sewer rats. Q: How many Liberals does it take to change a light bulb? A: None. They prefer to walk in the dark. Q: Why do so many Liberals live in L.A.? A: Its the only city that is easy enough for them to spell. Q: What's five miles long and has an IQ of forty? A: A Liberal parade. Q: What is it called when a Liberal blows in another Liberals ear? A: Data transfer. Q: Why don't they let Liberals swim in the ocean? A: Because they can't get the smell out of the tuna. Q: How do you plant dope? A: Bury a Liberal. Q: What's the difference between a Liberal and a sack of manure? A: The sack. Q: What's the definition of a Liberal running for Congress for the first time? A: A mouse trying to become a rat. Q: What's the difference between God and a Liberal? A: God knows He's not a Liberal.

So, sue me. Place me on indefinite suspension with no pay. Tell my wife and children about my immaturity. Or laugh.

Florida Teacher Of The Year Offers Her Views

It's not often I do this but in the wake of last weeks Florida shooting slaughter I feel it's necessary. I've included a complete Facebook post from Florida's Teacher of the Year on the subject of guns.

Okay, I’ll be the bad guy and say what no one else is brave enough to say, but wants to say. I’ll take all the criticism and attacks from everyone because you know what? I’m a TEACHER. I live this life daily. And I wouldn’t do anything else! But I also know daily I could end up in an active shooter situation.
Until we, as a country, are willing to get serious and talk about mental health issues, lack of available care for the mental health issues, lack of discipline in the home, horrendous lack of parental support when the schools are trying to control horrible behavior at school (oh no! Not MY KID. What did YOU do to cause my kid to react that way?), lack of moral values, and yes, I’ll say it-violent video games that take away all sensitivity to ANY compassion for others’ lives, as well as reality TV that makes it commonplace for people to constantly scream up in each others’ faces and not value any other person but themselves, we will have a gun problem in school. Our kids don’t understand the permanency of death anymore!!!
I grew up with guns. Everyone knows that. But you know what? My parents NEVER supported any bad behavior from me. I was terrified of doing something bad at school, as I would have not had a life until I corrected the problem and straightened my ass out. My parents invaded my life. They knew where I was ALL the time. They made me have a curfew. They made me wake them up when I got home. They made me respect their rules. They had full control of their house, and at any time could and would go through every inch of my bedroom, backpack, pockets, anything! Parents: it’s time to STEP UP! Be the parent that actually gives a crap! Be the annoying mom that pries and knows what your kid is doing. STOP being their friend. They have enough “friends” at school. Be their parent. Being the “cool mom” means not a damn thing when either your kid is dead or your kid kills other people because they were allowed to have their space and privacy in YOUR HOME. I’ll say it again. My home was filled with guns growing up. For God’s sake, my daddy was an 82nd Airborne Ranger who lost half his face serving our country. But you know what? I never dreamed of shooting anyone with his guns. I never dreamed of taking one! I was taught respect for human life, compassion, rules, common decency, and most of all, I was taught that until I moved out, my life and bedroom wasn’t mine...it was theirs. And they were going to know what was happening because they loved me and wanted the best for me.
There. Say that I’m a horrible person. I didn’t bring up gun control, and I will refuse to debate it with anyone. This post wasn’t about gun control. This was me, loving the crap out of people and wanting the best for them. This was about my school babies and knowing that God created each one for greatness, and just wanting them to reach their futures. It’s about 20 years ago this year I started my teaching career. Violence was not this bad 20 years ago. Lack of compassion wasn’t this bad 20 years ago. And God knows 20 years ago that I wasn’t afraid daily to call a parent because I KNEW that 9 out of 10 would cuss me out, tell me to go to Hell, call the news on me, call the school board on me, or post all over FaceBook about me because I called to let them know what their child chose to do at school...because they are a NORMAL kid!!!!!
Those 17 lives mattered. When are we going to take our own responsibility seriously?

Indict The S.O.B.

Then there’s this…
The Kerry State Department approved the visas for the 13 Russian operatives to travel the US in 2014 through 2016 and attempt to interfere with the US election process.

Liberal Or Conservative---It's Your Decision

By the way, I ad an idea about guns and their usage. Why not tear down all the signs reading, 'Gun Free Zone' and replace them with ones reading, 'Guns Allowed Inside'

Gay Blades

A sports writer for USA Today says it is time for the Olympics to allow gay couples to compete as pairs in Olympics figure skating competitions.

For the paper, writer Martin Rogers wondered why same-sex figure skating pairs should still only be the stuff of comedy movies and not a real, Olympics category.
Rogers cited the comedic film Blades of Glory where male actors Will Ferrell and Jon Heder performed an ice skating routine together. It was played for laughs, Rogers noted, but why can’t it be real, he asked.

The writer goes on to say that it is time to be rid of restrictions to mixed gender teams and add gay couples.
