It Was A Sad Day

"Who said protets can't be violent" This quote came from the resident CNN clown, Chris Cuomo while speaking about Minneapolis and Portland. I guess the shoe is on the other foot when supposed pro-Trump supporters are involved in protests.

The rats are leaving the sinking ship. Scads of Trump appointees are submitting their resignations. Some are doing so blaming Trump for yesterday's riots. Some are leaving because they're soon out of job. Either way it's a big CYA. Of course, the pols are calling for impeachment and the invoking of the 25th Amendment to remove Trump from office. If this happens in regard to yesterday, 'You ain't seen nuthin' yet'.

Members of Congress were bemoaning that they felt their lives were in danger. Many were locked up in rooms and as one stated, "We didn't even have masks". GASP!

I wonder if these same congresspeople feel the lives of the ordinary citizens are in danger when they forced shut downs of their businesses and way of life.

The sad angle of what has happened in D.C. is we are required to play the name game as to who is at fault. Congress and the associated media have already stuck the pin on the donkey tail. It's Trump's fault.

I would say there's enough blame to go around. Rememvber the old saying about blame and pointing your finger? When you do the are three fingers pointing back at you.

If I had to blame one particular group for our problems it would be the world-wide media especially those in this country. You know the people. Sixteen minutes after Trump was inaugurated the Washington Post was calling for his impeachment. For the last 364 days in a row times four Trump has been vilified from every corner. Those who voted and supported him are treated like pariahs. We were attacked in restaurants, beaten up for wearing MAGA hats, had all types of materials thrown on us. Antifa and BLM destroyed businesses. Even phonies like Stephen Colber and Jimmy Kimmel made a living off of lying. So, let's say every day you  decide to kick your dog, beat your wife and children. It may lead to sad cons As for Hollywood---need I say more?

There are consequences to these attacks. Sooner or later the beaten and oppressed are going to fight back. It may not be right but it could be warranted. Trump people, right or wrong, fought back yesterday. Consider this: Wives are beaten by husbands and vice-versa. Children are beaten by parents. Bullies attack. Sooner or later the downtrodden are going to rise up and scream, "Enough".

Where will it end? Who knows. My educated 75 year old guess is not in a good place.
