Sometimes I stop and consider how fortunate I was growing up in Central Iowa. From my first recollections in the early 1950's and whenever my hometown is mentioned the first things that come to mind are memories of the Chicago & Northwestern Railroad. In looking at these two pictures I can honestly say I rode in the engines shown and the caboose behind.
I doubt there are any 'Booneites' who would say otherwise.
