Jim Oberstar: Tyrannosaurus Rex

I must send twenty or thirty letters to the editor of various newspapers across the country----weekly. Once in awhile one of mine is picked for publication by what must be a very intelligent person. The Duluth News Minnesota newspaper did so two weeks ago. They even called my Ohio home to get my permission to set my missive upon the public. My Minnesota congressman is James Oberstar. He's been in Congress since dinosaurs roamed the earth. He's a Dumbocrat and depends on union support from the iron range region near Duluth for re-election and gets it easily. I do give him credit for one thing. He has personally responded to every one of my e-mails; critical or overly critical, except one. I might have gone somewhat overboard when I referred to him as an over the top communist but he shouldn't be so uber sensitive. I've been suggesting that he retire but another socialist/marxist would certainly take his place. It's about time to re-register my home base to Dublin, Ohio. We're second behind Plano Texas in conservative voters and that creates a less stressful situation. And, we have much nicer golf courses.

"My wife and I moved to Minnesota from Ohio two years ago. Since I am concerned about our country and the stimulus package passed by Congress, I contacted U.S. Rep. Jim Oberstar, citing why I felt it was a serious boondoggle. Oberstar assured me that since he was co-author of the bill, it was going to bring massive employment while not allowing unemployment to rise above
8 percent and while fighting off this horrid recession.
Well, to date, unemployment is nearing 10 percent and only North Dakota has seen a plus rise in employment. Once again, the Democrats make false promises that have zero chance of success. Oberstar is a plague upon this country. If he had any consideration for the people of his district he’d take his ill-gotten pension and get out of the way."
