The dreaded human virus has invaded the entire Hawkeye household. Since last December it's taken ahold of me the way the Boston Strangler did the job. It's been on again off again Finnegan since. Last Sunday it arrived one more time and I've been flat on my back. Her Majesty has even become its victim. She is so impervious to illness and pain I've never witnessed her having any before. Early on, when we were married, she had four wisdom teeth removed sans novacaine. Amazing!
We've both missed Mass the past two Sundays. This has never, not once, happened in our married lives(I must admit, during my college years I took frequent a hiatus).
It is now 1 pm and we're still in bed. Luckily, for us, TNT is running a Law & Order marathon. Fortunate for me The Queen is deft about Amazon Prime, Hulu and NetFlix.
As far as I'm concerned for the rest of the day we're golden.
I reread the definition for virus. It seems to me the best way to get rid of this thing is to die.
