Gone And Almost Forgotten

What started out as a tragic news story of gigantic proportions yesterday is headed for the journalistic dumpster. The town of Perry, Iowa saw a high school student kill and least one child and wounded a couple of others. Normally, I won't comment on these things until all the facts come in. The shooter is dead. He off'd himself.

There is in Iowa a newspaper called the Des Moines Register. It can be delivered to every doorstep of every home in the Hawkeye State on a daily basis. This morning I briefly glanced at its headlines and was not shocked to see zero banner headlines above the fold. I mean, for Iowa a school shooting is a big deal. And then it hit me. The 17 year old kid who did the killing has social media accounts supporting LGBTQ+.

The Register will accomplish the same ending as did the Nashville media and police in squashing info because of the sexual mindset for the perp. Do you remember how all info on the Nashville school shootings where three adults and three small children died is still under wraps?

The day is young. We can move on to other subjects now. For instance, let's discuss Joe's favorite ice cream. That's always a topic of concern for our news folks.
