They Never Learn

I wonder if Al Gore gives any thought to the social disasters he fostered with his invention of the Internet. The subject matter of this piece of journalism is so typical of the modern day ego that I should be used to it and accept it as 'normal'. Think Anthony Weiner, defrocked congressman from New York, who sent photos of his genitalia to a younger lass. Focus on the photo of the woman(can't call her a lady) in the photo. Her name is Nancy Sebring. She WAS the superintendent of schools for the district of Des Moines, Iowa. Ms. Nancy, age 57, had a fairly nice job; a salary of around $230 grand, give or take a couple of thou. This doesn't include perks, either. Anyway, she had this lover and sent him email messages, quite a few actually, dealing with sexual content. The emails were on the school district's equipment which means anyone can see them. I'm not the brightest bulb on the tree but I know not to put personal junk on company computers. Her lover sent her a picture of that thing of his located just below the equator. She wrote back that she found it 'titillating'. Somehow, the Des Moines Register newspaper got ahold of all her messages. "Hey, it's not like there aren't people within a school system who don't have a vendetta against her"! Here's the problem for Sebring. She had accepted the job as 'Super' for the Omaha school system when these messages were divulged. And what has been their response? Yesterday she lost her job in Omaha. You know what. Sometimes it's not too bad being my age and losing the sex drive without having to go out of my way for a blue pill. But dealing with Sebring wouldn't get me in trouble. First, I wouldn't know how to send a pic of my 'Willy' and secondly, Lizzie would beat me with ten foot pruning shears if I gave it a thought let alone take action.
Here's the kicker on the Sebring situation. No one interviewed her husband about how he felt about the two lovers and their tryst.
Power, sex, money and the computer; a dangerous combination.
