It's Called Nepotism, My Friends

Do you like statistics? I do. Stats can be manipulated to benefit anyone--almost. A wager on my part would be that most stats deal with sports. I have friends who are always touting a players stats, mostly for the sake of argument. Players salaries are based on statistics. Coaches keep their jobs and get raises based on how their players perform and how much they get out of them and how they keep the clubhouse running smoothly. There is an exception to this and it's happening in the Left Coast. Take a look at Craig Robinson. He's the men's head basketball coach at Oregon State University. A guy with Robinson's record, especially when it comes to big time basketball, would be out the door as soon as this season is over. Way back when I had a team that wasn't so hot. They were bad. I sort of got the drift that I wasn't going to last long when I walked out the door one morning and saw a 'For Sale' sign on my front lawn and a ten dollar gas certificate on the front porch. It doesn't take a sledgehammer to the head for me to get the picture. "Craig, you should consider filling up the gas tank".
And why am I bringing up Craig Robinson, you may ask? Well, he happens to be the brother of Michelle Obama. I'm going to keep my eyes on this one. Coaches keep jobs when people are in seats. When people aren't there the program loses money and the coach is gone, long gone. Take at look at Craig's stats and you will understand what I'm talking about.
