Hooray For Kent State University's Basketball Team

With all the bad news coming from our universities it was with great joy I present the following story:

Kent State used the national anthem for a show of unity, as each player on the team was asked to pick someone of a different race from the crowd and invite them down to the court to stand for the anthem prior to Wednesday's game against Mississippi Valley State.
"It was a special moment," senior guard Deon Edwin told ESPN's Jeff Goodman. "We all come together as one. It wasn't about color of skin. If we can do that at a small school, everyone can do it."
This isn't expected to be a one-time thing either. Edwin, who came up with the idea in the first place, said the team is planning to do it prior to each home game this season.
"It went very well. It came off very organic," said school spokesman Eugene Canal. "All the players went into the stands and picked people from the crowd. Everyone came down on the court and was arm-to-shoulder. Fans seemed to really appreciate it.
"It was cool because I don't think anyone in the crowd knew what was going on. None of the fans knew about it beforehand."

My fault. I forgot to credit ESPN with writing this article. You can ask your question of them.
