Happy Trails

The Midwest is taking much longer to escape than was anticipated. Yes, we're slowly and surely making our way to Arizona but, baby, it ain't easy.

We left Olathe, Kansas yesterday amidst snow and temperatures hovering around the 0 mark. A three hour trip south to Miami, Oklahoma; same deal.

Today, it's off to Amarillo, Texas. One would anticipate balmy temps. Not so, cowboys and cowgirls. It's going to be six degrees with flurries.

Yesterday was one of those classic fun days most folks don't have the opportunity to realize. We consumed breakfast with two men who win our wedding and their wives. We laughed uncontrollably for two hours.

Then it was on to Oklahoma where we spent the evening and night with my college roommate and his wire.

Life doesn't get any better than yesterday's experience.
