These people think it's an attack on diversity which, personally, I believe to be bunk. None of the posts state minorities, dark-haired woman, Indians, Blacks, Hispanics or other non-whites should be physically attacked. On the contrary it appears the posts were meant to make whites included in society.
PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- It isn't a threat and it isn't actively promoting violence but a flyer that's been making the rounds in a Beaverton neighborhood has some people upset over it's message.
The flyers, which say "It's OK to be white," have popped up on power poles and street lights in the Sexton Mountain area.
One neighbor told KOIN 6 News that part of town is a melting pot and she wants everyone to feel safe.
"On a lamp post there, it was just right smack in my eye line like someone put it there intentionally," Mary Elizabeth Summer said. "I instantly ripped it down."
Summer couldn't believe she found the flyer just down the street from her front door. She said it upset her so much, she took it home and ran it through the shredder.
I'm white. The only way to make me different would be to use burnt cork or pull a Rachel Dolezal who happens to be white but don't tell anyone because she'll have to find a safe space.
