The U.S.Is Still The Land Of Opportunity

My great grandfather, Johann, came to this country in 1882 from Germany to make a better life for he and his children. Too bad I don't know his wife's name but without her I wouldn't have had a grandfather. I think that's how it works.

Some politicians would have you think we have an unfair playing field to make it in life. They want it this way to create a hate atmosphere; the few rich against the masses of poor people. Patooey!

Bloomberg published an interesting story this morning. Horatio Alger lives.

March 14 2019, 8:42 AM (Bloomberg) -- The number of wealthy households in the U.S. reached a new high last year, roughly equivalent to the entire population of Sweden or Portugal. More than 10.2 million households had a net worth of $1 million to $5 million, not including the value of their primary residence, according to a survey by the Spectrem Group. That’s up 2.5 percent from 2017.
