One Huge Oil Lie

Obama says things that are blatantly false. In other words, lies! Lucky for him the MSM doesn't do or is uninterested in doing their job(s). I excerpted an article from Chad Stafko at the American Thinker:

During Obama's Oval Office oil speech the President uttered words that were blatantly false. The President noted that the United States consumes 20% of the world's oil supply but we have less than 2% of the world's oil reserves. The reason the oil companies are drilling a mile beneath the surface of the ocean is because we're running out of places to drill on land and in shallow water, said Obama.
According to a June 2008 Kiplinger magazine article untapped reserves in the U.S. are estimated at 2.3 trillion barrels. This is nearly three times that of OPEC nations COMBINED! This amount is sufficient to power our needs for the next 300 years.

Don't trust me, readers. As Casey Stengel, the one time New York Yankee manager said, "You can look it up".
