Many years ago there was a popular television show called, 'Kids Say The Darndest Things. It was hosted by Art Linkletter. He'd have four five year olds on the show, ask them questions, then they'd come up with hilarious answers.
We have one of those kids in our family. He's five and starts kindergarten this fall. I call his responses Kingstonisms. Today's was a beauty.
We were walking back from the fishing pond behind our condo. He started the conversation.
Kingston "Grandpa, why is Columbus the capitol of Ohio"?
Grandpa "Because it's a large city and is in the middle of the state".
Kingston "Boise isn't in the middle of the state".
And the sad aspect is I had to run home and open an atlas to find out if he was correct.
He was and he's never been physically west of Dayton.
