The Election Of 2016

According to the morning pundits I'm supposed to be shocked over Trump's win. I wasn't. For me it all hinged on Florida. If he won move on. If he lost it's over. When North Carolina came in it was game on. The slight loss in Virginia bode well for me. I didn't expect him to be so close considering the vast number of federal employees to the immediate south in D.C.

At about 10:30 PM I received an email from a national pollster letting me know Trump would be victorious. I went to bed.

In looking at a couple of state's results, Iowa and Ohio, I was flabbergasted at what the numbers told us. Ohio went for Trump by 11% points. That's akin to what happened to George Custer at the Little Bighorn. Trumbull County, the home of deep blue Youngstown went Trump. Game over.

Iowa, my beloved home state and the place I hope to spend eternity gave the win to The Donald by 7 points. Hillary won Polk and Story counties. Iowa State University is located in the latter. Des Moines is in Polk County. Hilly also won Johnson County, the home of the Univ. of Iowa and their egghead profs. Other that this she won squat. I love Iowans. We are the solid base of the Heartland.

Once again take a look at the US electoral map. We are still a country divided. Hillary won the states on the Left Coast along with New Mexico and Nevada. On the East Coast it's the same old same old, New York, Connecticut, Maine, Rhode Island, etc. Richie Rich lives in these states. Oh yeah, I forgot Illinois. Sorry, Rahm Emanuel, your girl lost the presidency even though your state gets to maintain it's hold on graft and corruption.

The news from the media(I know they're untrustworthy) tells us Trump's first Supreme Court nominee will be Sen. Mike Lee(R-Utah). This will send liberals into a sheer panic and depression. He is a very conservative, very pro-life man.

Being the selfish person I am there are special actions I'd like done immediately by Trump but those will take time. I hope I can develop patience. Defunding Planned Parenthood would be a good start.

In conclusion, I want to get back to normal whatever that is. Remember. In two short years we can start this nonsense all over again.
